Thanks all,I think the stainless steel threads have bitten into the brass roller connector as it was tight screwing it down.
Sounds to me like you cross threaded it all the way in. The roller connection is toast no matter what you do. If you really want to get them apart, hold your DID connection with vise grips but wrap it in thin rubber or something to protect it. Only clamp it tight enough to keep it from spinning. Take another set of vise grips and clamp them tight onto the treads of the Roller and twist them apart. Not too tight or else you could crush it into the DID threads which will make it even harder to get apart. You will destroy the threads on the roller connection but it's toast anyhow.
Personally, if it was my set-up I'd leave it alone and let them be married together. But of course I'm just a poor guy that can't afford all these nice toys so the choice would be easy for me. LOL
