Yes, brass is a much better heat and electrical conductor than steel
... and from what has been written about the SS wick system, the heat from the coil vaporises the liquid as it is drawn
through the 'straw'. Contact with the brass pole conductor should be miniscul "

Honestly Brass may be for certain situations, but when you add
eliquid to the equation I don't necessarily agree that Brass is better, if you take a look at another Genesis Atty that is on the market it is made from all 316L Surgical steel, and for a good reason, Brass does oxidize, I do believe there is a special Brass out though that wont oxidize as much as regular Brass. After all the investigation I have done I would prefer the all SS center pole Myself,, but I don't know how it will effect this particular unit how its made but dont think it will make that big of a difference in performance, just in oxidation, Though this DID looks like a good Genesis type of unit so I'm looking forward to trying it out to compare it with another one I have. All SS would still be my choice overall and I hope Jim makes this available and with SS nuts also, he did say he was going to do so in a earlier post for people who wanted them and add them to the website in a week.
