G'day all, need some help here. First of all I am Not Complaining.

Ok I have Poldiac and as we all know it kicks like a Mule, problem is it kicks too hard for me so I need to tame it.
Don't know if its a problem with my wick setup or maybe should get a kick for it, so just hoping for some advice on what kick to get ect.
Currently I am using #400, 30g 2/3 wrap @ 1.2 ohm 3.3 v on Provari, once battery drops off I use my wonderful Poldiac so comfortable and smooth.
At first was using #500 mesh but thought high VG content was the problem so went back to #400, I really want to solve this issue.

Thanks Cloud!! The video is buffering right now on the bottom button thingie, and everything you said is spot on and recognizeable to my overly hyped out mind. We're in sync! lol. Thanks for the explanation.
The shirt over the button was on, I don't know if there's one underneath or not. I tried to take the shirt off, but it thinks it's too cold in here or something and fought me. I'll try harder after I watch the video. Take off top cap, push button, pull... right?

If you feel any resistance when you twist the shirt, there's an o-ring already in there. And yes, for removal just depress the button and slide off (take a little care to not hook the o-ring in the button hole as it's sliding over)

Youre my kind of girl. First thing you wanted to do is take your shirt off. :).

4.2v on a fresh battery hits hard. One thing I picked up from Uma that helps is to squonk until the batt gets past the initial blaster stage. I just put my finger over the air hole and suck in a little air through the drip tip. This pulls juice up the wick and basically floods it a bit. Seems on a slightly flooded wick, with a shorter hit, their is not as much harsh TH. Once the battery dies down a bit, it's all gravy...

My 2 cents.
If its a new wick it can act like that
I have made some wicks of the same material and they act different. May want to try a new one.
Do you leave the fill hole open?
How do you hold it when you vape 45 90 angle
Could try a 4/3 wrap until it breaks in then go to the 2/3.

Tried a different style wick the other day and it was so harsh no matter what I did.

Good tip, and I'm sure I'll be needing to use it too with the Poldiac. Only other thing I would suggest, would be to set up another RBA with higher resistance?

I'm having problems attaching any of my attys... Gemini, Mini DID, even an SS 510 Cartomizer won't twist in. Any guesses? I tried it with the topcap on the mod, and I've tried it with the topcap taken off the mod in case the adjustable screw was too high or something. No go

edited cuz some of my reply was inside the box and some was out of the box.

With the top cap off can you screw in the atty?

Look at the threads real close do you see and burs. That sharp things sticking out. Do you see threads at all.? Do they screw in at all?

Tony
I see threads (they're so exquisite!), and no burrs. There is a slight burr when twisting the topcap itself onto the mod, but that's another bump altogether I would think. No, it won't go in at all... just wants to kinda sit on top. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, so I'm probably doing something dumb. I take full responsibility here.

Bugger!!!! looks as if you may have a very very rare case of the blues Uma:glare:
It's probably just me, something I'm not doing right. If it's the mod, then Jim will fix it. I'm just glad this is happening to ME if anybody. I'm sure I'm the only one too, but if not, at least we have an early headsup for QC?

See if it will screw in on the other side.

You're a genius! It screwed right in. Now what?

Are you sure you can't screw it on to the pv now. Just making sure your not drunk or anything. If you can't because it upside down. It ok to cry. I would. Stuff happens. Jim is going to feel just as bad as you. Even this boy is feeling the pain. But you have the roller at least. Sorry girl.

I had a slight bur on the top cap threads when I first got mine. They smoothed out through use. I twisted it in and out while pulling outward as I tightened it and pushing in while loosening.

For the 510 connector threads, do you have a Mini? I would see if you can thread it in from the inside of the top cap. There's a black Delrin ring inside the top cap that is pretty easy to remove with a little screwdriver. I'd try a Mini since none of the other DID bases would fit in the recessed area (could try a carto but I don't thing the brass threads on a carto would hold up against the SS threads on the Poldiac top cap). If you can get a Mini's thread started from the inside you could slowly work it (twist/untwist - don't force it might get stuck) till the threads were cleaned up.

Sorry it's giving you "the business"...

Well, bummers, it's not me and Miller afterall. I hoped it'd be all fixed come tomorrow morning, with a few aspirin. Thanks for the brainstorming and stuff. Maybe we can take out the Delrin, push the connector out, flip it, re-press it in there, re-insert the delrin, and be good to go?
