Don't you just love it when family members pick up part of our vaping vocabulary and excitement? For instance, when my daughter & her fiance returned from their weekend in Reno, they couldn't wait to tell me about the guy in a bar vaping a Roller mod just like mine, only smaller. They were so proud.

The funny thing is that these stupid birds have a habbit of grabbing anything that looks like food to them, even a poldiac would be swallowed in a split second. Your picture brought back many memories of tourists and locals alike screaming in fear when an emu decides to join in on a picnic lunch, my late wife had an apple snatched as she went to take a bite, yeah! so funny man so funny.
Completely harmless unless one was to kick you in the gut and dissembowel you.
side note, its quite common when out detecting for gold to find a nugget in their crapp. TRUE

Howdy DID-ites! Just wanted to let it be known that I was successful in freeing the DID from the P+ topcap! It took a little grunt work and the DID took a few scratches but all is well. Threads have been greased and it will not happen again. Thanks for all the good advice!
Thanks for the help. I cleaned the contacts on my poldiac too so maybe thats why I was having to hit so hard before. Guess I am going back to 18650 mode to find out. All this tinkering is GREAT!!!
It was most certainly a relief! I hated being so preoccupied with separating them! I almost purchased another DID for my Caravela and planned to just leave the P+ and DID as a pseudo-hybrid thing. Fortunately for my wallet (and unfortunately for Jim's) I didn't need to do that. Yet.

That is an incredible collection of devices that ALL DO THE SAME THING! I'm not judging as I am guilty of having multiple PV's but isn't it somewhat silly to have $1000's of dollars worth of equipment that all operate essentially the same?

The Poldiac outclasses all the others, and the others are downright beautiful too. Way to go Jim!
Beauty, design, Silver connections & spring, adjustable firing, adjustable battery holder, 3 different size battery tubes, various suits of armour, smooth as butter threads, (I love love love to spin my top cap on and off. Yes, I'm easily entertained, but still!). and it has so much more, like reversible button end, etc...
I LOVE my Poldiac!!! IraSureFire, it's so worth the saving and purchase. If you decide it's not for you, for whatever reason, I'm sure the value will stay high and higher in the classys. Can't go wrong with a Poldiac!

After a long battle DID-Miriam the score is 1-2 !!!! I finally got the DID off the Poldiac!
Now I need a plaster for my war-wounds....
Don't ask how but I managed to stick a screwdriver into the side of my finger, so Poldiac now baptized in blood as well.
Get yourself some Rem oil on ebay. it works pretty good on the threads, keeps them smooth as butter... it contains teflon and its usually used to clean steel and firearms..2 drops on threads, wipe with a Q-tip and your good to go...every time you clean the Did and use water, repeat the 2 drop process on the mod and attys 510 connection.

I'm in the same boat as you. Been stalking this thread and a few F5ings on MM daily to hopefully land the order date in time. Although I'm hoping to snag the top cap without being slotted. I've no use for the slots and think it may compromise the top cap's current look/functionality.
Perhaps he'll offer the top caps both ways in the future so that everyone gets what they like (Hint Hint). *shrug*
