I was having a intermittent switch activation on my poldiac. I cleaned all contacts ( in my mind ) after putting back together. Problem persisted. Decided to remove the bottom cap spring and clean it also. That was the issue.

Learned a little trick in the process.

If you put your magnet in the switch and use the magnet attached to the switch button on the outside of the switch it will flip the magnet inside to the proper position.

Bravo Tony
I have tried to explain this some days before
but my english..... hahahaha
Thank you Tony!
we do this because we assemble , check every single button bofore we ship it so it is the easiest way to do it!

Thanks jim. I work on a glass table so I put magnet under the table and it flipped the other one. Gave me the idea to try. And it worked. Hope your feeling better. Sorry about your loss. It the hardest part about getting old. You see many of your older loved ones go. Keep the memories alive.

I cleaned mine last night, even cleaned the center post of my DID, wiped down all threading with alcohol and reassemled it all. Filled my tank and hit the switch... nothing. Swapped the battery out for a freshly charged one... nothing. I was at the end of a 16 hour day and about to panic. I went back to the towel I had laid everything out on while reassembling and there was the silver pin from the switch assembly in a fold of the towel . All was well again!

Scary. Need to be careful. That's ok I searched for a magnet for 30 minutes after I dropped it. It was stuck to the side of the metal chair. Damn murphy :)

Gotta get the poldiac back in stock. Every day while waiting something else makes it in the cart. :|

I feel your pain on this one. I had a polished Temon Fullset in my cart and waited till the GProv stands were available. By the time I got back to my cart someone bought the last one

On the plus side, when I order it next week I'll get an extra entry for the next lottery :thumb:

LOL Yankee! But it's like a great stew... add a little of this and a shake of that, and in the end, we get to sit down to the best dinner we've ever had, and all those ingredients in the pot/cart were so worth it. or maybe it was the wine... Did you add some wine? Be sure to add some wine...

Wine I have. But I told my wife it was going to cost X$. It's more than X$. :|
I said but honey, I wanted different clothes. I can even find words to describe the look I got. One eye looked this way, the other eye looked that way, and I swear this time there was a third eye looking as though to figure out what I was talking about. What's worse, she unpaused the TV and kept going. I don't think she wants to know.

This is sounding quite serious. But don't panic!
Download James Taylor's "Lay Lady Lay" and other oh so romantic slow songs. Pick up a nice bottle of wine and some stuffed pork chops or whatever is easy for you to toss into the oven, and after you've cooked dinner (assuming you don't cook after work), and had a few glasses of wine, put that music on the speakers, stand up and swoop her onto your LR dance floor.
This calls for desperate measures, honey, you gotta buck up!

edited to say: (lol, I hope you didn't take that wrong. I assumed you are the avg working family man who just wants to relax when he gets home from work, no matter how lovely the wife. Sometimes romance takes a backburner.)

Alright enough of that.... Be a man and break something , curse a lot and act hurt. You'll get permission from sympathy (and as Tony alluded to could lead to birthday sex)

Edit: 3rd Martini, could be an interesting evening 

You are so correct CW. A couple of years ago I came up the best line of my life. I told my wife she "hurt my feelings". It worked for a couple of weeks until she wised up on me! I'm not sure we should be speaking of these "highly classified" men techniques in a public forum!

LOL, you guys!
Hubby's tried that on me before,... but it didn't work. It just made me stand with hands on hips and yell "Oh yeh? Well then we're even for one of the millions of times you've hurt mine!".
Trust me... dinner, wine, music, slow dancing, in the privacy of your own home without a huge dinner bill... ...!
Well, and the Obama 50% tobacco tax increase conversation at the beginning of the evening for it all to soak in. Just make sure you finish the conversation before dinner. :)

wait! back up the feelings. Maybe that's why for our big 40, he got himself a fancy smancy jogging/bp watch and all I got was an I.O.U.
