I have downloaded a free ohms law calculator app that does it for you. Not an engineer, so I'm not completely sure about the math. Someone much smarter than me can probably help with that though.
I use a free iPhone app, but to answer the OP's question:
V=volts, I=current (amps), P=power(watts) and R= resistance (ohms)
V=I*R
R=V/I
I=V/R
P=(V*V)/R=V^2/R
Well the .08 should be similar to 28G wire. I have just ordered the .08 last week. A couple of GREAT people here had sent me .06 and .04 ribbon wire. I like the .06 much better. The ribbon wire IMO - is pure awesome, easier to work with, and provides a great vape. Less hot spots to worry about also.
I have a couple Nuhual Gens which have the closest wick to post one ever saw. Round wire in the 16mm size is right on top of the center post and requires much finesse to wrap. Much EASIER now with the Ribbon wire. Thanks to the guys who sent me the ribbon - I love it best of all. Seems to cover more space on the mesh too which is good.

Okay, everyone convinced me to try some of the ribbon wire. Is the only place to get the .6 from the guy everyone listed?

I want an ejuice dispenser. One that will take the fill screw out, plunge the needle in, fill, then replace the screw, wipe down and hand it back nice and full and clean. Jim? What are ya doin next week? I got a project for ya... 
Good to be back with you happy folk again. Not much has changed good to see Uma has taken the plunge and cleaned Poldiac, Mwth has new parts and on the turps again

Had good fun vapeing under cover in hospital using baby Poldiac, got dobbed in by roommate but it backfired on him "don't be silly mr ..... how can he be smoking" couldn't smell anything.
Waiting on a eBaron Pro dripper to turn up, hope I haven't wasted good MMV D22 money on the thing, those dripper posts you guys did made me do it

I am so lucky. My wife said I can have another DID, a Poldiac, and the Caravela. Come on tax man. Hurry Up!!! This Groove needs to take a hike. Why would anyone with half a brain make a PV that falls over every single time. Its so slick you cant even lean it on something. Good Lord.
