Jim gives 4 peices of wire mesh, 325/400 I beleive, Could someone please let me know what the size I should cut them down to, to use. Thx in advance.
Hmmm, ok, now I'm worried. I have #640 too- is that possible? email stated it shipped 6/20 and was combined with another order but the tracking number still says its in Greece? This was a large order
This thing looks like a vapor beast. I can't wait to order one on my birthday. I wish there were more videos focusing on vapor production and performance instead of just putting it together. Even the reviews mostly show it being assembled. I want to see it in action as a teaser while I wait.
I concur. I do oxidize well though and my wick does touch the bottom ......scratch the cigarette paper junk .....just wound up a mess when I tried it. Trying to hold the paper and wrap the coil was beyond the ability of my 2 hands ....and I hated the idea that there is some paper that doesn't burn. I switched out my coil today just for practice and this one worked like a charm without tinkering. I made this one much looser than I have in the past and made sure that my top coil was below the positive nuts by just a hair. 5/4 gave me a nice 2.3 ohm coil.
@ K-man. Here's a wick / coil trick trick I picked up on ob's Coil & wick tips & tricks thread "peter k" method and it works great with just the bottom nut and one securing nut. I did cut the mesh @ 15mm +/- wide & 30+mm tall to fill the DID's hole a bit more. What clicked with me about this method was what Peter K said. "It wicks, and watts are not spent for mesh heating, but for
e-liquid."
This is a 4/4 coil and is great @ 3.6 /3.8 V, and will flood at horizontal if your not careful.

2.5 mm. Almost wicks to good. Full tank & fill hole not plugged with screw it will flood pretty easy at horizontal. With fill hole plugged and 3/4 or less juice in tank all is good. Malty Toffee 30/70 PG / VG, 325 mesh.
Mines still hanging out in New York, although I hope it's in transit to me and just isn't updating. I've already got both my other packages from Europe and I ordered them after the DID. I'm not going to panic just yet....soon though I was never able to track it but for those of you still waiting, my order numbers were #546 and #640 and were shipped together on 6/25.
