Ok I got one and it's a very big criticism in my books (look away now...you've been warned).

The DID won't allow me to enjoy the many other devices I've spent tons of money on.

There, I said it. It's awful, I know.

Alright my turn for a negative........it only looks good on every device I have so it's extremely hard deciding which 1 to put it on top of. Orrrrrrrrr........I can just buy a DiD for every device.

I don't think I could've picked a better R.A. to purchase to be my 1st. I just refuse to be put on a list somewhere and wait till God knows when before I get what will be old news by the time I actually get it !!!! Props to Jim for actually doing it the RIGHT AND PROFESSIONAL way and bringing a far superior product to the table and making it accessible to EVERYONE.

Jim....in short.......YOUR AWESOME !!!
Take care Everyone..and enjoy your DiD's

Thanks for the help. I use one of the extra O-rings to line the hole up. Its hard to see it so I just center my finger nail then put the cap on so its lined up.

Yo Trav, you shouldn't need to use an o ring to line up the intake hole with the wick... That's why Jim sells the top caps with the threaded top cap of the tank. I made sure of that before I purchased the DID.

I dunno what to tell you bro, just keep at it... my buddy was trying for hours to get his DID running before coming over to drink with us... I poked his top coil once and it stopped shorting, I told him he DID all the heavy lifting for me lol...

Best to do it on a mech mod to work out the shorts, let me know if you need to borrow one. How is the lambo treating you anyways? Id the Ody being good at least? Shoot me a PM, I'll do whatever I can to assist.

Take care bro.

Set the did up like I saw someone post. Works great easy to do no need to hold the bottom nut from turning. Wrap the coil on the ss before putting it in the hole. Slide it up to the correct spot tighten it down. Sweet great tip.

I posted thiss in the other thread as well. I am very much interested in seeing some close up pics of fresh wick and used ones, if you could post some.

Also, how long do you use one of these wicks before you change them. I am a chain vaper.

Hi Kick, I don't know if these pics uploaded or not so I will post this then comment or if they didn't upload I will have to try again.

Well poo, they are sideways, sorry about that. I made the one on the far left just for you today so you can see a new unused wick. The one in the middle and the far right have more "gunk" as they are sweeter juices so I forsee having to bring up fresh wick more often. Made these for the first time just yesterday. I DIY all my juices except the one on the left and I must say now that I've tried the two sweeter ones with cotton they are TOO sweet- I'll have to cut down on the EM with those LOL.

OH
I'm sure it's been said earlier, but I must have missed: what DCTs are those that fit the DID?

Awesome collection.

I might just end up trying cotton because of you ;), although my theoretical opinion remains that using treated cotton such as from various balls and pads is an unknown, health-wise; and I have small relative concern as to cotton being organic and rich in large complex molecules that break down with heat to potential carcinogens and, certainly, allergens.

OH

Correct - on the byssinosis, although that requires large amount of particulate inhalation over a period of time.

I don't know if the discussion, at least abridged needs to be left off. This is a potential mod to this device. It's like discussing battery safety and vendor recommended battery practices in a tube mod vendor thread, imho. We should ask Jim before going further, though... He may feel it is a good CYA practice to formally state he only endorses stainless steel mesh, or that he doesn't recommend or suggest any particular use for his device... ;)

Sorry if I offended you jay but as this is just a different way to use the DID and I felt that I could share the info on this DID thread. I have always felt that this forum was the best one out there becouse of how we share info with each other.I consider myself an informed consumer and always research everything beforehand, but truth be told, the only thing I know for sure is that my lungs are much better now than they were 2 years ago- and that's with vaping filler cartos, silica, ss mesh, etc.

There is another issue - the airhole should line up Perfectly without adding an O-ring. If there is not a good seal with cap and body - flavor and vapor will suffer. Make a mark w/black marker directly in front of wick, put on cap and see where hole ends up. If it isn't lined up w/out the o-ring, it's not right.

oh god no, no offense, I have seen a few threads get all derailed and such. I think the community should explore ALL options as long as its approached safely, otherwise raidy wouldn't have come up with this device in the first place.

And please, I don't want to offend either. So if I did apologies all around. And again THANK YOU JIM!!

Guess I need to try something else for a wick also. I have tried everything with this mesh and have yet to get one good vape out of my DID. All I kept hearing was how easy it was. Guess that applies to everyone but me. Not willing to be beat this time though. So I just give it a rest for a day or two then try again. I had about 6' of wire when I started. I have like 2' left. On my third mesh wick.

I can get this thing cooking very well till I put the cap on. Then its like 3ohm's at 2.5v. Nothing I do changes that.

Hi Striker, what size wire are you using? I have plenty of Kanthal A-1 32 awg, I can send you some.

In my experience, all the DIDs I have gotten do line up. No O-ring required.
