I really like that P, I need to get one too me-thinks, thanks for posting.

Thank you dspin. It's nice looking as well as functional, and since you recommended leaving out the fill screw I don't have to worry about leakage with this holder. You should definately get one, well worth it :)

oh god no, no offense, I have seen a few threads get all derailed and such. I think the community should explore ALL options as long as its approached safely, otherwise raidy wouldn't have come up with this device in the first place.

And please, I don't want to offend either. So if I did apologies all around. And again THANK YOU JIM!!

It's all good, as Jim would say "No Worries" :)

Drilled my hole with a 1/16th" bit. WOW!!! Its a train and I love it. Had to take the 3 wrap off and make a 4. No more issues now. Juice flavor is good and smooth, vapor is thick. Have the Lambo set to 4.5V. Thanks Dspin. Everyone check the inside of the intake hole on the cap. I spent weeks thinking it was the coil and wick. It was the intake hole. Take some TP and wipe the inside of the hole. If some paper gets stuck from a burr then fix that. Could have sanded it smooth but the drill worked for me. The draw is open like the Zenesis. Maybe just a touch more but its well worth the effort. I am about to OD on this 18mg juice. Will have to make some 10-12mg juice for the DID.

Dug out an old 3.7 mod. Feels like the DID is something that is truely worthy to be on my very special, very Precious LV1. Nice to know the DID ROCKS my 3.7 devices :)

Very nice Horseman, LOVE that wood mod- never heard of it but it looks like a great fit for the hand, and the DID looks perfect with that matching drip tip.

He's got a thread here, I wont post it in Jim's thread, search 'wildman' & it'll come up. Simple, cheap & he will do custom wood, too. Both drip tips (and boro silicate tank) are from Bert. He also has a thread here, search 'art glass'. they are Trippy Tips, btw

OK guys just so you know,,the top cap is threaded so that when it is screwed down the air-hole lines up perfectly to the wick every time,,DID was designed that way from the get go..

first mod i DID was to open up the air-hole,,i used a dremel with a tapered diamond bit..produces a lot of plumage and the temp is a cooler,,to get hotter draw ?? just draw a little slower :)

I like to build custom mods, myself. I asked Jim in an email, and I'll ask again, her, so-as to include any that are intersted, because, as Jim is quite busy with this venture, he was unable to respond at the time I inquired.

My idea is to mount a longer, higher-juice-capacity RBA along the side of a box. Most of my mods use 18650 batts, are VV or VW. With the size and shape of the boxes and their components, it's almost not pocket-friendly to have someting sticking out the top (even a carto). I'd like to see an option for a longer DID for this reason, as well as fluid capacity. If Jim could manufacture the DID with a longer barrel, center pin and post, my modding could go forward with this idea. What say ye?

The SS wick is giving me fits, BTW. It is quite fiddle-intensive to get a coil/wick assembled without a short/hotspot. I've been trying all the approaches I can find, only to be disappointed on most. It's a celebration when it FINALLY works, but I'm getting discouraged due to the time I've spent trying to make this thing work. I like to build/fix, but this is quite an attention-intensive procedure. I might add that I'm blind in one eye, so the depth perception is of issue, I'd guess, as well.

It takes awhile Dougie but when you realize exactly how to do it, how to fix a hot spot immediately - you will throw one together very quickly. It took me along time with my first genisis - Only reason I didn't throw it out the door was it cost too much. I wanted to though.

I dont see well and use a handsfree magnifying glass.

Hey Denali - you can also use 30 G kanthal and increase the heat. I use 5 wraps - 4 wraps is a bit much for me. For the all VG juice I use, it cant wick fast enough at 4 wraps. I use 400 mesh too. Love the taste of that better.

Even at 50/50, the 5/6 wrap of 30ga is Super! Comes out at 1.4 ohms for me.
