I should be in here more often cuz this is an amazing product, built by an amazing guy, with amazing people in the thread. That said, I will make a point of reading this thread from the very beginning instead of just here and there.
I FINALLY had the time to sit and wrap a good coil after several failed attempts. It's only 4 wraps as I haven't perfected my skills at wrapping any more than that in the tiny space that is. I'm finding that my juice doesn't taste as good as it does in my other rebuildable. How long before I can expect it to get better? A tank or two? Or do you think I've screwed something up? It's reading 1.9 ohms and I'm vaping on my provari at 3.8 volts.
Hey K-man!! Good to see you here.
My first attempt worked, even though it shouldn't have. I made 4 coils, but the top coil slid off the wick and sat above the wick like a halo lol. I still fired er up and was pleasantly surprised to see it worked. I then removed the top coil and left it as a 3 coil wrap and it's been vaping great, especially the flavor. My LT is set at 3.7 and as the battery wears down, I just gradually switch the tube up to 3.9 then put it on the charger before it hits 4.0. (I love my Reo with a fresh 4.2 battery, and this setup lets me achieve similiar results).
Did you soak and flame your wick 3 or 4 x's with your ejuice before using? You should be getting great flavor.
Last night as I vaped Pink Spot's G-spot while playing monopoly with the family, the aroma filled everyone with contentment. The aroma, the flavor, the vapor, all combine to make one nice vape with the DID.
I will admit, my vapor isn't as exhuberant as on the ZS, but the flavor is better. Which tells me I need to fiddle with both or be happy with both for their different reasons. The next wick and coil I make might just change the whole scenario visa versa lol. I'm still learning the ropes, but am a very happy rope climber so far.
I especially love how I can remove the tank and use it on another pv without loosing a drop of juice.
I love how the cap stays on due to the grooves and twist.
I love the SS tank for the rugged outdoors and for carrying in my back jean pocket when on my SB. I don't worry when it drops on the table, and it never leaks when it's laying down on the job.
oops, got carried away with rambling, but my point is, your next wick and coil, or treatment thereof, or fiddling with the one on right now ,just might bring out the flavor you're missing on this first vape.
