Hey guys,

I think I'm going blind or something and I'm certainly not going to bother Jim with it as I'm sure someone here will be able to tell me. When your order shipped how did you get your tracking number? I paid for the faster shipping but I can't locate the tracking number in the shipped email or on the web page. I'm sure it's somewhere and I'm just having a moment.

Thanks.
Same here.

It is not on the "invoice" it is on the "order information" sheet and my number was like this RE112356789GR. and you have to use the Grrek tracking site to track it for the first couple of days then use the same number on usps.com.
Nope, not on the order information page.

Interesting. I did check my "Order Information" on e-vape.gr and no such number exists on that page.

Just says: Shipping Method: RealTime Tracking Very Fast .. and it doesn't show up in the comments or anywhere on the order information page.

Perhaps it shows up later as I think I received the notification a few hours ago. No big deal either way as it doesn't change the waiting time or anything lol. Just thought I'd ask in case I was having a derp moment and didn't see it.

Not an issue. I'll kick back and wait!
I also chose the TNT shipping, "RealTime Tracking Very Fast", option, and haven't been given a tracking number.

There was a note from Jim though.
After all the difficulties I had last 2 weeks
I have to say that with the 2 people I have to help me
the shipping will be fast enough to satisfy all the customers!
I apologize for the dellays but "If you want god to laugh say to him that you have PLANS for Tomorrow"
In my case healt and business problems were hiting last 2 weeks and my plans were
YOU to have the best internet purchase experience BUT.....
Thank you
Your orders have been shipp

I'll just keep waiting patiently. Bummed about not getting the tracking number though, so much for the "RealTime Tracking".

All over the place
First I want to say my thoughts are with those in Colorado, or anyone friends or family of the victims. That was a terrible, absurd tragedy! The world can be both evil and good, though evil of this magnitude seems to be blanket the day.

I am expecting my clear kir for the DID any day now. I have seen reference to certain juices that crack clear tanks. Generally, what type of juice does one have to worry about? Thanks for any help.

Cinnamon juices or acidic juices like lemon (though I don't believe orange is problematic). I personally don't vape those kind of juices because they will also melt plastic drip tips and degrade the plastic bottles so many come in. So, generally speaking, the problematic juices are far and few between.

Thare she blows!

Received today, messed with it for about 10 minutes, and it's firing away.

I do have a minor hotspot, but considering this was my first shot at it, I'm quite content. Will recoil a couple of times to get the jist of it, but yes... It's awesome.

Thanks a million, Jim, and thanks everyone for supplying awesome support and information here

@Sweeperdk looks great, if you don't mind a suggestion, on your next wick try using more mesh it should wick even better than it does now :)

Thanks!

MORE mesh? I'm using the recommended 40x30 mm... And to be honest, especially wicking is whats worrying me right now... it doesn't seem to be wicking as I hoped.

Should I use more mesh? Or might I have "over-oxidized" it? Any suggestions would be massively appreciated.

I don't think over-oxidized is your problem, don't let the wick touch the bottom of the tank, cut it a bit shorter to make sure it does not touch the top cap and if your still not wicking right try more mesh.

Takes a while to learn how you like it setup :)

Thanks :)

I'm enjoying this. Was absolutely prepared to be messing about with it for quite a while before getting anything remotely near a decent vape.

It's definitely working, however, am quite sure it'll improve a hell of a lot over time :)

Give it a sharp un-powered hit to get it going if it is not but, after a bit it should be unnecessary.Did you soak in some liquid and burn it off a few times? If you did just allow it to "break in" some or tilt the device to the 3-4 o'clock range when vaping.I always use 325 mesh and "thicker" juices like 50-50 pg/vg and 70/30 vg/pg.Sometimes it can just be the wick is just not right but, hardly ever will be the mesh's issue. The only time I was ready to blame the mesh I took it out and soaked it in juice and burned it 3x and it performed much better.Hope it helps though.

So what is a hot spot anyway?

This:

hot.jpg

c623cc, It's getting there... I did all the tricks in the book... Oxidized 3 times, soaked and burnt liquid off three times and so on.

To be honest, it's not half bad... And getting better by the minute. The above image is from the first coil, I recoiled and it seems I got rid of the hotspot.. Vapor (and especially flavor) is picking up. I'm vaping pure VG and I THINK I used the 325 mesh... Everything seems to be getting there :)

So a hot spot is like the antithesis to an evenly burning coil? It is just hot in one spot as opposed to the entire coil glowing, correct?

Thats my understanding, yes.

One spot that is quite a bit hotter than the rest of the coil, thus making the coil glow unevenly.

and usually indicates where the short is. so if the top coil has a hot spot, a little nudge with a finger nail or tooth pick can get rid of it. I also use the wick twisting method like @Garebear. Eventually hotspots become a nuisance that just need a little TLC to remove (not a show stopper).

Nice photo and great example of a hot spot.

Make sure your coils aren't touching the nuts. That sounds bad!
