All over the place
I just realized I asked the same question twice! haha. I meant, have you disliked flavors that you once cared for after trying in The DID, and have you begun to like/love flavors that you didn't care for pre-DID? Anyway, dspin pretty much warned me against assuming anything before trying in The DID, but yet the expectation is incredible. I have not been this excited to receive something since my ProVari...and this is even greater because I know so much more now.

I have made the decision to not check my shipping at all! It will get here when it is time to get here!

p.s. I imagine The DID is akin to a three-way mirror to juices. It will reveal and expose all that is great and well, all that is not so great. Either which way, I look forward to tasting the truth!

One thing I've really grown to appreciate (or maybe am now spoil by) is how easy it is to switch flavors (I just syringe out the tank) and how quickly the new flavors come to life (a couple drops on the wick). The other thing I really like too, is being able to coil to the resistance I like for different devices. I can get just as good a vape off my fatt batts (3.7v) as I do on my Provari (usually vape around 5.0v) just by swapping the coil. Once the wick is seasoned and stable, recoiling literally only takes a few moments.

Personally? I haven't yet tried all the flavors I've enjoyed over the years. But, so far, with the flavors I've tried and returned to, the gist is: If I liked it before the DiD on my eGo (which I loved my eGo for the way it delivers flavor), I LOVE the flavor on the DID. If I didn't like the flavor that much but just kinda sorta liked it, I enjoy it on my DiD but wish for a different flavor. If I hated it on my eGo, I despise it on my DiD. :)
YMMV.

Keep in mind also, that until you perfect the perfect combo with wick and coil, YMMV as well.

I have yet to understand why a "short" can cause a lack of flavor, but I can understand how a "short" produces a lack of vapor. I can't grasp the concept at all that there is a "short" if I'm not getting flavor but am getting tons of vapor. Fortunately, with the DiD, I have both flavor and vapor. (it took a day or two to catch up with the abundant vapor, but when it broke in, it broke in!). To have both at the same time? Priceless.

Then, on top of our learning curves, there are ways to produce even extra exhuberant flavor (double wicking), and extra Vapor (see Elfstone's last post). To have both at the same time? Priceless.

Just remember to not "draw" your vape like you would a cig or even another eCig for that matter.
Vape it with gentle deep breaths...
a Ripple drip tip will help teach you to do just that, and also help settle you down on stressful days when you want to draw with gusto.
a Volt will help teach you how to gently draw.. it produces the most vapor when it's just being held in your mouth as you breathe deeply.
yeh... the sweet words, "breathe deep".
whodathunk us ex-smokers would ever be familiar with those two words ever again eh?

I just got DID!

After 3 failed setups and 2 SS mesh, I think I finally got it :D

It is my first RBA and it really consumed me. Proper oxidation is really the key. I almost gave up on the shorts that I'm experiencing. Unstable resistance has also baffled me.

You must really experiment a lot to achieve the correct setup and I'm glad I DID. Thanks Jim :)

Hey, everyone. So I haven't posted for a while as I was reading through the forum... Got through everything except about 5 pages in this mid 30's. Also watched every video on the DID and a few others on Genesi.

Ordered my standard size DID on 7/8. it shipped on 7/18 and was at my door before noon on 7/20. Yep, two days from Greece. Very fast.

Here are my thoughts and look forward to any tips or responses. I use AW IMR and AW IC 18650's in a wooden unregulated box mod and my Precise Plus.
The wicking is awesome... I never get a dry spot and I can use up the entire tank with barely a drop left. I messed with coils a bit and feel I got the hang of it. I am doing 3 wraps, wrapping around positive pole with one nut at the base and one at the top for airflow.
Now I was getting shorts at first but after a while I feel i got the hang of it. THe one thing I noticed is sometimes when I dry burn the top coil will glow first, then the other two light up and everything is even. The second or third time, once it is heated up, all three start to glow at the same time. I assume this means I am free of shorts. If i go back and dry burn after a full tank, same thing happens- top coil glows, followed by the other two. I cant recall having been able to dry burn and have all three coils start to glow at the same time WHEN COLD. Warmed up, all three same time glow... Is that how it should be?

I think the flavor is pretty good and like the rebuildableness. Throat hit is not quite there for me so far and I am not sure why. I test my coils under load with a voltage meter from COV. Just like my 1.7 ohm cartos, a fully charged 4.2v battery will be about 3.7 under load of the DID. Same voltage yet it still seems to hit a little soft. I think if I was getting shorts, the resistance would throw off that under voltage reading... It also seems that the coil will get moved around while vaping a tankful and I have to readjust the wraps in between always getting it back to where all three glow though not initially at the same time.
I saw Scott and Zen both had the same thing when dry burning with one glowing at first, then after repeated dry burns all the wraps light up.

So i have done a ton of coils and this is what I keep seeing. I love the DID and do not plan to go back but wonder why it is hitting rather light. I may just have to go up in voltage and thought about getting a VV unit though I did try my friends Provari and the DID would not screw on at all. Wouldn't line up.

I am getting a good nic buzz from my 50/50 juice but getting a good throat hit is difficult. It definitely is a beaut. Thanks all.

Guys since this has been a long thread, digging for infos is kind of PITA. Anyone have an idea where to buy the ss mesh and kanthal wire Jim has provided? thanks

Here's where I've bought mesh (maryhoffer | eBay) but I think next time I will try McMaster-Carr like above post. The guy I usually get Kanthal from (coinswiesiek | eBay) might be on vacation since he's got nothing listed, but always responds to email for queries.

To add to the problems I'm having lately I just found out that over 100 orders have been shipped with defective threads on the negative allen ground screw.Unfortunately this was not discovered by me before the items shipped. I'm so very sorry. If you receive one of the defective screws (threads do not go all the way up the screw), please send me a notification through my site e-vape.gr and let me know your order number. I will send a replacement screw as soon as possible. Again my friends, although this was the fault of my supplier, I must take full responsibility for not noticing this before. I deeply apologize for anyone affected!
You know that I do not know so good english! lol
So a friend helped me express my self!!
