thank you!!!!
Just a tip for hot spots. Try spinning your wick. It seems most of my hot spots came from the end of the mesh where the wrap ends. if your getting a hot spot on the top coil and the you spin the wick so the end of the mesh is facing the nuts then it might help.

Stop it Uma. I'm trying so hard to resist the P+ and you ain't helpin' :)
Together the DID and P+ are just stunning and appear more than the sum of their parts.
I saw a shiny one today with a shiny DID... but I won't tempt you, I promise I won't say another word. (besides, you might snag it before I get a chance to talk him out of it. lol).

Sign me up for this! Now, if we could just find out about that stock! Don't forget to get the flat top if you are able to order one...
You betcha! Flat top it is!
We need a hotline to that shop!

Love my flat top P+s. The rhodium contacts make the world of difference. The DID looks so mint,on it too... going to get the shorty on my 18500 blasted to match too.
You talked me right into it! Yet another happy customer with the P+ with the DID.

HaHaHa, so we shall be "crazy" together LOL.
My name is Patti and I am a Vapaholic. I'm also a DIDaholic. Now, I buy my mods based on whether or not they are worthy of the company of my DIDs :)
:vapor: I'll vape to that! Come on Patti, Mr. Mann & Fuzzione, we have some serious shopping to do this month! I'll race ya to the classifieds. :)

thank you!!!!
Isn't it surprizing how such a simple adjustment can produce such powerful results?!
Gosh, come to think of it, I know another person that this might work for. BRB

2 isn't nearly enough ......get 6, then you can vape 6 different flavors at one time. I love my DID'S not even gonna bother trying to get a Zen. I think the DID is a whole lot tougher and Jim really cares about his customers and the quality of his product.

There is a flavor difference too. DID wins IMO

Subscribing to thread as I just bought a DID today. It will be my first rebuildable. I've seen nothing by great reviews on the product and am looking forward to trying it.

Hey Dusty, glad to see you got a DID and made it over here. It's my top genisis of all as of this date.

Part 3 is finally done. Today has been a awesome day. Got a project car sold for $150 extra then the scrap yard was going to give me. So I was able to pay for my Zenesis Mini, and also for a blemished Chrome Provari with Blue LED. Now I have to put another Atty on the list for the Lambo. Two huge leaps in my vape arsenal. If only I had some battery's . All in time. Come on pay day!!!

Oh my heaven!!! Dust has formed on my 5000 foot roll of kanthal, my 50 sheets of ss mesh sit idle on my work station. My blow torch has the blues, why you ask? Dread day, I must say it: STABILITY! My current coil and wick work so well, tinkering has all but ceased. I now only get to glimpse the wondrous innards of my beloved DID, once a day. A quick shot of my favorite nectar, close cap, and vape plumes of thick aromatic vapor. This has been going on for 10 days, 10 days without hot spots, popped coils, harsh vape or any related problems. My days of carrying a needle looped in my collar, or the allen key tucked away in the coin portion of my jeans. A spare bit of kanthal wrapped around the hidden button on the inside of my shirt, have come to an end. I guess I'll have to go put my feet up, grab my DID, have a cup of, and contemplate the wonders of life. :)

Guys, just a quick question.
How tight the wire should be on the mesh wick?

For me, not tight. In fact I build my coil on a drill bit larger than the wick hole. Move coil to a smaller drill bit, put the small drill bit into the wick hole with coil. Attach coil, remove drill bit. Burn coil and test for shorts, (The whole coil should glow even.) I then insert wick, and re-test with dry burn. Should again glow even, if not wick needs work, (re-oxidize), once all looks good, add juice, drop a bit on dry wick, vape away. I use this method exclusively at this point, I like to be able to remove wick for cleaning, and dry burning coil as needed. I'm sure others will have differing methods but this works for me.

Yeah too tight is short city, too loose is theoretically going to give harsh vapes I the coil is seeing too much air and able to get too hot. Not sure I've very experienced the latter though...

Do you get any friction when you insert your wicks ? Can you see the space between the coils and the wick ?

Sweet! :toast: I think a lot of people, though not all, read the first post (and maybe a couple more) and then say the hell with it , then jump to the last post! :) So at least if they stop by and see the first page, they can then see a link containing posts from many posters about The DID. That is awesome Jim! Thanks Classy!

Great stuff! Should be noted (at least for me), the index link only works properly for folks who have the their settings set to default for threads (I think it's 20 items per page). For folks who set to 40 to get fewer pages, this link may be better http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...genesis-type-atomizer-did-74.html#post6785323 (YMMV)

I changed it from how it was originally from just linking the page to now linking the exact post. I just changed my settings to 5 posts per page (that is so silly LOL) and the links first jump to the original page (which is off), but then the the quoted test pops up a split second after. I believe it doesn't matter what the page settings are with the links going direct to the post...at least it is fine on my pc. Anyone else experience anything to the contrary?

Might be because I use a Mac instead of a PC.
