Good evening everyone! Just bought a second DID today off the classies, also got my first provari today in the mail:party:
This thing is amazing! Its my first genesis type atty and couldnt be more thrilled with each vape. Well I went to mount her up on the provari and i couldnt get it to thread down more than like 2 threads. I got the provari used so it could be the threads a lil worn on it, but everything else I own threads on fine. So Im just rockin it with an adapter for the time being. It fits perfect on my silver bullet and the wick hole lines up perfect with the button, so I dont wanna mess that up by tightening too much. Gonna order up tap and die for the 510 connections on amazon here in a lil to clean the threads up on both. Maybe the second one will be a better fit.

Dang. I hope mine works on the ProV I have coming. If not I will have to get a diff. Atty. Hope it works. The Lambo is just not pushing the wattage. Really, its eating 3 18650's per day.

why wouldn't it work. there are tons of DID on provari pics already.

I think they use a o-ring for a spacer. Never paid attention to what people where saying on the subject cause I did not plan on getting one till the blemish sale. Could be the last chance to get a Chrome one.

Who in their right mind would want to do such a thing? Honestly though, virtually everyone in this thread has participated in making a user manual of some sort...it is this thread!

p.s. My DID in flying home and I am getting a bit antsy. :D

Cant wait till you get yours and see what you have to say M

I've noticed my Vmax lets out a high pitched buzz on my SS Mesh RBAs when there is a short

its not always a short that will produce an F1 or F2 though, but it always seems to be a short. Burnt hits, then glowing coils, and eventually an F error.

another annoying thing I've found, is I'll have said RBAs running perfectly on my Provari. I'll put one on the Vmax, lower the voltage to compensate, and voila, high pitched buzz, if not full blown F1/F2...

I'm glad you heard that buzz also. I thought I was losing it. LOL

I'm really enjoying my did, I received my clear tank yesterday and it fits great.
The only off the about the did is i change flavors alot and I have to undo the coil every time.

Why? I just syringe out old juice, add new juice, if I feel fussy, I pull wick, ( my set up allows my pulling wick without disturbing coil,) burn off wick add a bit of new juice to wick, burn it, replace. Most of time I just remove old, add new and go for it.

Hey, Provari guys, what is the summary on problems relating to DID? I am thinking about getting one, haven't paid much attention to problems, but have seen threading issues recently. Currently use volcano lava tube with no problems whatsoever, but like look of Provari, should I hold off on purchase, or go for straight mechanical mod? Your opinions will be most welcome.

No need to change coils or wicks in between flavors. I just use a syringe (with 1.5in blunt tip 15ga) to suck out any juice still in the tank and refill with new flavor. Juice in the wick mixes for a short while then the new flavor comes through like normal.

If the coil is all gunked up (which I've grown to believe actually adds some nice flavor), I twist the wick out through the top of the coil (carefully turning it while pulling up lightly) and do a dry burn on the coil to clean it up completely and do a couple iterations of burn/quench on the wick then re-install (turning while pushing gently back into the coil). If you pull the wick you may have to go through the initial nudging for hotspot thing again (sometimes), but previously used wicks definitely minimize it.

I love my DIDs on my Provari! I setup all my DIDs on my Provari before moving to any other PVs. Once you master wick/coil setup (oxidize, oxidize, oxidize...), the E1/E2 errors become your friend. It's really nice to be able to set the voltage all the way down to 2.9v during setup because it's much more forgiving while working out the shorts. And if you get an E1/E2, nudge coil/twist wick/pull wick and re-oxidize.

Only user error type issue I had was because there was a very slim gap between the bottom of the DID and the top cap on my Provari (worked perfectly well, I just went OCD) I kept slowly tightening the bottom nut (in the top cap) till I recessed the center pin to flush. Well, I stupidly recessed it till it didn't make contact. Quick fix was to simply put one of the extra o-rings onto the center pin to make it stick out again.

If I had that again, I'd just ignore the little gap and use it.
