I'm on my third success with coiling. Now i made a 2/3 wrap with the same ss mesh i oxidized 3 weeks ago. I made a 1.5ohm wrap and working perfectly.
All i can say is it's full pleasure. All my previous atties are now left in a confinement of a box which will be kept as a souvenir of the past.
Never enjoyed flavor like this in my 2 years of vaping

What is the size difference between the DID and the short DID? It looks like just the tank is smaller. Any have or know where I can see a pic of them side by side. I think I just found my birthday present....to myself.
finally got my clear tank and extra set of nuts - four nuts seem to work nicely , I'm using the bottom two nuts for my coil on the post and get better vapor
That's what I like about DID/rebuildable. Once you get your first coil up and running and gain some confidence, you can start to experiment with varying the setup and seeing how those differences change the vaping experience. It is awesome!

I dont do that anymore, I make my wick, then coil out of the device, remove the coil & requench (in case I nicked something), slide the coil back on. Then I prime the wick (with coil attached).
Note:your mileage may vary

I know everyone will get different results, but we could build a knowledge base that helps for a starting point.

- Kanthal 34A1 (twisted), 3/4 coil, fat wick (1/2 sheet, just fits wick hole): 2.2ohm
- Kanthal 34A1 (twisted), 3/4 coil, Med wick (1/2 sheet, little smaller than wick hole): 1.7ohm
- Kanthal 34A1 (single), 4/5 coil, fat wick (1/2 sheet, just fits wick hole): 2.9ohm
- Kanthal 32A1 (single), 3/4 coil, fat wick (1/2 sheet, just fits wick hole): 1.6ohm
- Kanthal 32A1 (single), 4/5 coil, fat wick (1/2 sheet, just fits wick hole): 2.1ohm
I know everyone will get different results, but we could build a knowledge base that helps for a starting point.
30ga Kanthal a1 5/6 skinny wick 1.4-1.5 ohm

Mine was delivered about an hour ago and still says processed through New York. I live in Hawaii so things usually take a little longer to get to me. I'll be firing this bad boy up here in just a bit! CAN'T WAIT!!!!
