Hi. I'm about to buy my first DID and I'm tossed between Mega and Mini, I'm more of a portable guy but I want to make sure mini works just as well (in terms of vapor, flavor and TH) as mega if it doesn't I would get the mega. Also satin or stainless ? what should I get?!

I'm a Genisis newbie, so hopefully I have picked up on everyone's tips and can learn from everyone's mistakes.

I have standard did have to fill it twice a day. Will need good power. I use 2 18650 a day. So if you have a big pv the standard will look good. Many photo to see.

What pv do you plan to use it on? If it has a chrome finish, I'd go with a polished stainless and if it's on a satin pv, I'd go with the satin finish. If it's on a colored pv that's glossy I'd go with polished, if not glossy I'd go with satin. That's just IMO.

From what we've heard so far, the Mini DID performs at least as well as the Standard DID, which means it's awesome. It might just come down to how big you want your DID to be. Same goes for the finish; which one do you like better? It seems that everything that comes out of Jim's shop is a winner, so you're not gonna go wrong.

I got a Did early on. Just 2 videos out on it. They were mainly about the construction. I think the Did just got sold to so many first time users of genisis that they thought the fine art was specific to the Did. In return this thread give a negative impression sometimes. This is my only genisis. I was lucky. I went into it unbiased and it worked and still works great. I have said this before. They are not plug and play like a cart. But no means difficult.

As the nuts make sure the opposite sides of the nuts are put together. Think of it like magnets. N to S. Nipple to indent

and the point about the nuts is very important too.
Before I got my Magnifying Visor I couldn't tell which side was concave, etc.. but I lucked out by getting them right by ... well... luck I guess! My visor makes it easy to see for all future wraps.

Get a Gemini + Standard top cap & tank + Mini bottom cap & tank. The you could mix match to use any of the 3
(I'm pretty sure the center post/pin on all three is the same just different on the shorty and in one of Jim's photos he's inverted the Gemini tank so the ends must be the same)

Unfortunately, once it gets to the US you are at the mercy of USPS. Nothing anyone (well, maybe the President) can do till they decide to release it. Now there's a thought. Obama is a secret smoker, maybe we could get him DIDified and vaping... I bet USPS NY would find a way to speed up then.

Todd recently reviewed his Mini DID! Of particular interest, is he starts from the very beginning, putting the 0-rings on, and finishes with a link to RW's tutorial. He says that after he got it going good, it hit just as nice as the HF!! (that's quite a compliment!).
He is not crazy about the monogram, but to each his own eh. I wonder if Jim will be providing both choices?? Monogrammed and plain? I love the MM myself.

I'm actually waiting for the opposite. Once the Gemini tank is sold separate, i'll get one and mix/match with the stuff I've got.
