Yeah I have some trouble with mine not wicking very well, I like having the screw in the fill hole though so I don't always have to keep the thing upright. With the fill hole screwed up, I can leave mind lying down and it doesn't leak.

That is my only reason OF putting th screw in. But lack of flavor weighs more so screw is back out. My Travels have one DID and a couple of phiniac tanks. Home has all DIDs and the phiniacs. Each device has different flavor. Phiniacs have flavors that I never vape in my DID. Never. Two reasons. Either they don't taste well in DID, or I don't WANT to know how they are better in DID.

My top cap gets pretty warm even hot. It gets really hot when chain vapin. Is this normal or do i have something wrong? Standard did at 1.6 ohms 3.7 - 3.9 volts currently but happens on almost any setup. Thought wick may be touching top cap but lowered it and still happens. My wick is working Great. No shorts, hot spots, plenty of wickin with no parts of coil glowing red.

Vapor, TH, flavor all really good and vapor doesn't seem too warm or certainly not hot, just the cap.

Ah ha!!

I was trying to put it in the same hole as the insulator in the top, and it wouldn't let the unit go together as it's not threaded.
The screw on the smaller, double threaded ends post would not thread into it.
Putting the unit together without it, the screw wouldn't tighten on the thin center post.

I slid it on the thin center post, small tip towards the top of the unit, then slid the post up the middle of the already put together unit.
NOW the screw will tighten.

Ok... off to wrap a coil.
YaY. So you got it. Vaping clouds yet ? :)

That's pretty normal. Especially chain vaping.

Yep. Normal. When I chain vape madly, I can grill a burger on it. :)

Nope.
LOL

I didn't get something right wrapping a coil.
I think my wick is ok, but the wire was wonky one way or another.

edited, 'cause I quoted the wrong post.

"Since bronze is conductive and the wire is resistive, one does not want too long of a resistance wire hanging in the air between the positive post and the wick for obvious reasons." From the original post. THE VAPING CHAMBER: section.

As long as the output current is not exceeding 2.5A (V1) or 3.5A (V2), Provari will keep working hard to flame the juice.
aha! Lightbulb moment!! :::faint::: Got it! Thanks!!!

Uma, here is a pic tells a thousand words. Here is a pic I made for u showing you how my mini did works on my mini provari
Like Miriam said, nice set up!!! and I would raise volt to 4.2 lol. (I don't know the watt, but I like 4.2 with 3/2 wrap even).
Love your balloon illustrations! I'm saving to my pc, hope you don't mind. If you do, I'll put it back, honest. :D

Ok... got it up and running.
Wick was just a little too long and touching the top cap.
Taste is great, vapor a little on the weak side.

I'll finish this tank and maybe mess with it some more.
I also want to get my engravings lined up. Was in too much of a hurry first time around. LOL

I have a ProVari mini V2, and I can't get my DID to work on it.
What is everyone doing to get it running on the ProVari?

Is it the dreaded E errors? Check the coil snugness (not tight not loose), make extra sure that wire is not touching any of those nuts. Make sure that the wire from the ground screw lays FLAT until it meets the wick. When wrapping the wire between the nuts, use the raised knurl sides together. Make sure they are not flying apart. Check that wick isn't leaning or too tall and touching cap. Make sure wick isn't touching any part of the inside (bottom or center post).

If you have a clear kir tank, now may be a good time to use it until you get all points covered.

Oh and oxidize that wick...oxidize, oxidize, oxidize. And then oxidize. This can't be overdone. Especially while in the learning stages. Later you can play a little more but now no shortcuts.

Provide us more info. Many WANT to help. But honestly you are a little general with your problems. We need as much info as you can tell us.

This seems like a lot, but soon it will be old hat and you'll be recoiling in under 5 minutes. Ask me how I know. :D
