wick made and coil wrapped...my first ever. its coming in at 2.0. the taste isnt great yet but every hit seems better than the last
When you fire it with the cap off, do you see any hot spots? Any coils glowing?

Got my large can of Cape Cod polishing clothes today. Gonna spend some time tomorrow polishing up my stuff and take pictures
Now that I have what I need to vape, gotta get them all pretty and stuff![]()

i should have left it alone once i got the undiscovered burr out. new cap here I come tooim noticing on my coil its producing vapor but the top where it goes to the post glows red hot and the rest doesnt glow. ive wrapped wrong i think
I drilled the top cap to 1/16" - is too airy for me, now I have to buy another one ............................
1.2mm is the perfect size!
That's a bummer.I went to enter the Gemini lottery thread and it was already closed?![]()

Not necessarily wrapped wrong, you just have a hot spot. First eyeball coil, make sure the coil is not in contact with brass center pole or nuts. Make sure coils are not touching each other. Make sure coil is spaced evenly as possible. Make sure wick is not in contact with center pole. Next give wick a slight turn within the coil. Test it. Next make sure the coil, coming from the ground is in contact with stainless until it begins its wick climb, Test it. Next, put needle into top of wick pull slightly away from center post, Test it. Make sure you don't have to much distance from top of wick to center pole. Make sure wick not touching bottom of tank. If hot spot still remains try and pull up or push down wick within the coil, Test again. Still bad, remove wick and coil, juice burn wick, and rebuild.

You can't have too much distance between the post and top coil, and from the base screw, have it lay flat on bottom until it gets to the wick.

For some reason I love the 1/16" draw. I started in a Zenesis with open draw and got used to it quickly. Now anything smaller then that seems to be too tight of a draw. It's kind of funny, I used to enjoy tight holes, now I enjoy the loose ones.![]()
I love the 1/16 draw too, I get a heck of a lot more vapor with it.I'm not sure I agree. You definitely don't want it touching, but too much coil in open air can lead to a major hotspot. IMHO, Ideally the gap between top of wick (or anywhere on the coil) and center post should be ~1mm. Totally agree on the base, you want contact with base until you get to wick to avoid bottom hot spot.
