Should work the same with VW. You will dial in your preferred wattage rather than voltage. I know many use a kick with rba's.
You may be limited by the watts the device can handle. Anywhere from 8 - 15 will give you super performance.
I am running a 0.8 to 1.0 ohm coil on a ggts at 3.7 volts this comes out to 13 - 17 watts. My provari is more limited but still a satisfying vape.

Nothing different. I use a standard ss wick.......depending on my mood may be 270 or 400. I just ordered some 500 mesh to give it a try. I an DIY'ing my juices now except for one white peach flavor which is divine. I try to buy that in large quantity because it is my daily vape. My only issue with dripping is that you get one wet hit.....coup.e of good hits........and a throat searing hit. In the DID it is just good hit after good hit.
Care to share who's peach this is? I've been tempted to try some peach, but wasn't sure if I'd like it. I do love peaches though.

This ^ Don't get me wrong I'm a dripper at heart. Carto's and tanks just don't do it for me. I'm looking forward to that consistent vape experience, and Overall, Im hoping to get a nice ~2 - 2.5 ohm with 4/5. I'll have some 34 awg ready to go if the supplied 32 will not get me there.
Thanks, I'll have to pick up some of that. Being a noob, I'm still looking for that all day vape. A few have been really close, but not quite.
A 4/3 wrap with 32awg on a fat wick gave me 2.2 ohm pretty consistently. I have saved my tanks for 'that juice that was sooo delicious.....but now tastes like crap in the DID'. One juice that was my absolute favorite I guess needed a little something donated by or masked by the wadding in the cartos. I have a huge stock of the stuff in my fridge.
How long was your wait from you order date? Just wondering since you got the brass post and screw.
Have you tried adding anything to it to give it a different flavor?
The Minis are already up to the 700's?! Wow, good for Jim! Mine is 124, and I haven't had it all that long! They're moving quick
Whoops it's 171 just realised as I was cleaning and preping it I made a typo in the excitement of the moment.
Thanks to Jim and the crew for my Mini DID.
Now to build my first wick and try to breathe life into Jim's creation and my first rebuilable. mwuhahaha

We all have our own opinions, but I'd try the 400 before you bother ordering the 325, I tried it once, but much prefer the 400 in all of my genesis devices for everything including 100% VG. On a brand new wick, 100% VG takes a bit to wick, but as soon as the wick breaks in, it keeps up just fine. YYMV, but

How long does it usually take to break in a wick?
Just made my first couple tonight and although I seem to be getting good vapour production it tastes a bit dry/burnt and initial flavour was poor. Is this normal?
1st coil was 1.6 ohm and 2nd coil was 2.4 ohm going by my multimeter.

has any one tried the did with silica wick?
I am having trouble with hot spots and i think the taste is a bit metallic even when i have it setup right.
using 30 gauge nichrome or 28 gauge kanthal.
don't really like the whole idea of quenching and torching, takes too much time.

Sometimes up to a tank for me, but a good coil tastes great almost immediately.
Before you assume its break-in time, check a few things.
With the cap off, dry fire it and check the coil for hot spots. Nudge around as necessary until they all glow evenly.
Make sure the wick isn't touching the bottom of the tank, and isn't too tall that it could short to the top cap.
Make sure none of the coils / wick is touching anything, and ensure the bottom wire isn't touching the base of the atty.
Add you liquid and fire it at your typical vaping angle (top cap still off). If you see any coils glowing, you either still have a short, or your liquid isn't wicking enough.. Increase your angle, ensure your wick is open in the middle.
If you see liquid "boiling" instead of vaporizing its flooding. If that's the case, pinch the top of your wick closed and / or decrease your vaping angle.

Personally not a fan of silica, but that's not to say it can't be used. Try the tips above though, maybe they will help..?
