another 2 cents to the Electonic/mechanical issue...
A well build, good quality mechanical mod is for a lifetime.
It wil always work as long as you treat it well and as long as there are batteries avalable.
I do have a Provari and it is a big help to me to learn how to prepare a good coil.
But for the two 'lifetime' setups I'm putting together now, I prefer mechanics.
Gives me a sens of control and independence

..... Once you get the coil setup for your mechanical mod, you're golden. BUT....if you DO like it a tad higher, or lower, you toss a kick in and regulate the wattage. I prefer the wattage rather than the Vs. Some juices I have a sweet spot at 7.5ish watts. Others I like at 9Watts. With provaris, you have to get the Vs right to attain it, and with a mechanical and a kick, you set the wattage and it will match the output to whatever ohms you coiled. It's just another way of attaining a consistant vape.
