You guys kill me we control the ohms. So amps are controllable. I want a pv that will last like the did. No springs. They fail over time and the switch needs to be forever. It's just a 3 volt battery.

I usually don't have any issues with re coiling a wick, but yes there is some fiddling in the end to get it to that ah-ha spot. This may be a simplified Petar K method and also lightbulb moment. I will try it for sure. Thanks for the lightbulb moment, as I don't have many of those very often anymore as CRS is taking it's toll.I first wrap my coil around a 3.2mm tube or drill bit as the DID wick hole is 3.4mm. I then with the coil still on the bit insert the bit into the wick hole and terminate the coil ends.
Slide/pull the bit out with a left/right twisting motion and then wrap the s/s wick around the same drill bit or tube.
After oxidising I roll the wick gently between my fingers until it will just slide down through the coil loops into the wick hole with a slight resistance, that is if I stop pushing/twisting it down it will hold its position until I resume pushing/ twisting left and right.
That's how tight you need the contact.
Maybe not enough juice is traveling up the wick. Try a few drops dripped onto the coil and see if the flavour improves

There is a pv that lasts like the DID and it comes with a transferable life time warranty. It's called the Precise. Yer the springs do go but so do the DID's wick and coils but we just make sure we got enough wire and mesh in stock. Just like I'm going to do with springs as they are cheap as chips to buy.
Only way you will get 100% maintaince free pv is to solder 2 wires to a battery and touch the wires to the atomiser/coil by hand
Hi guys, got my DID 1 week ago and tried many configurations... I didn't found anything but my air hole is not perfectly aligned with the wick.
At first I thought it wouldn't matter but after unsccrewing the top cap to make the hole in front of the wick it made a HUGE difference.
So is there a way to make the top cap screw a bit more? Mine doesn't get to the point where it's in front of the wick but stops before...
Or are your air hole perfectly aligned or do you unscrew the top cap?
I always thought that the variable throat hit in the Zenesis with wasn't a big deal but now I can see his point...

Tried the o ring and it worked great however it riuns the aestethic a bit imo.
Anyways I was contacted by Jim, he asked to send a photo of the problem. I don't think it's a bad top cap as the deviation from the wick it's .5 cm I believe, I can live with that. I'll send a photo and we'll see : )

I had a similar issue. I had purchased multiple DIDs and shuffled the top caps. None were aligned. properly. Several in this forum suggested trying different caps.
