I'm totally with you on this one Uma. I have my Standards and Shorties on big mods for lazing around and vaping luxuriously and my Minis on VV KGO eGo style batts for running around.

Nothing else besides full out dripping does it for me anymore.
+10!!

My DIDs are my out and about gennies of choice. For daily driver I need a device that doesn't leak (my DIDs never ever leak with the solid wick). I like my indestructible coil (28 awg doesn't move). I need a tank that will get me through the day (3.5 mls is perfect). I need the device to be drop proof (DID is a tank)I like to vape a lot of flavors......so I have 7 DIDs.
I have a Zen, Orion, and a Katana.....these are all in need of nursemaid, leak if not held upright and certainly couldn't stick them in my pocket....
+10!!
haha, nursemaiding is a mild statement for the other ones.

I'm with you uma, my out and about is my mini on a p+18350, never a leak or problem. my at home is big DID on a Uranos mod I picked up in the classifieds, I wasn't quick enough to get a Roller, but I'm happy enough with the Uranos.

Hey, that's a nice setup!!
The Roller is nice too, but will be oh so much nicer with the new release due out soon. You did good. :)

I am totally with you there Uma! Except I live in the Netherlands so not that many natural desasters are on the lure for me here. My Provari + DID are usually glued to me where ever I go (yes I have been known to even go to the toilet while holding it!)
At first I would bring a 2nd mod + what ever atty I had with me, but these days I just stick an extra 18650 in my jeans pocket and make sure my DID is filled up to the top when I leave the house.

Miriam (with the Hat)
+10!!
haha, you're a gonner. :D

I wouldn't dream of going to the toilet WITHOUT my DID!
haha, another gonner!

and the ayes have it. :p

SEE! I knew I couldn't have been the only one that liked the looks of that mod! When I first saw that in the picture thread I was thinking maybe I needed to start eating some testosterone pills or sumthin. Glad to see I'm not the only guy that likes the looks of those curves. :D I just wish the price wasn't so crazy. I mean damn... It's just a mechanical mod.

Something is not logic in this reasoning...
Always thought it was the woman having the curves and man were the ones liking it...
Accordingly nothing wrong though with your levels of T

It's a classy, beautiful, handsome mod. Even the button acts differently from all others. More than just eye candy.
oh and pssssst, I'm a gal. :)

I don't want to go into it to much (not the right thread) , but you are very right.
The looks is the smallest part of its beauty...
In combination with the MiniDiD it is for me the first real lifetime setup...

LOL. I know that silly. I was refering to the dude in the video. :D
Oh yeh, I forgot about Phil lol.

That is a beautiful mod... $300 puts it in my "someday" category (not today), but the the segment that comes right after that one about a 20watt DNA chip with buttons and OLED readout has me salivating!

Now have 2 DID'S and im loving them so much i tossed everything else out i mean everything that used e-liquid. Last one i bought used and they had drilled out the airhole bigger and i knew this but had ordered a cap previously for my other DID that i had traded for and that airhole is 1.2 and i have one on the way from Jim thats a 1.0 as i like a tighter draw.

Now to boot i got used to that 1.2 airhole so its good but this other one that was drilled out is much bigger , i taped it a little and for now is working until new cap arrives from Jim and use both of them.
As money allows (im retired) i'll be ordering 2 sets of stainless poles and nuts.
Maybe just maybe i'll be able to save up for a brand new one from Jim but one that holds 5ml would be nice !

Now 1 day i would like to get a gun engraver like that kid in Colorado on that gun show called american guns and have some ole fashion fancy scroll work done on the top cap cause these will always be mine.

DSmooch - Please understand that my comment was not about the DID.
It's all good. ;)

oye oye vapspaz did not insinuate anything wrong about the DID, G. forbid.
Yes sorry, if you felt pointed or hijacked...

Again, I do not own a DID and a half like a lot of ppl here. I will most likely buy 2 14500 mods from MMvapors the minute they go out.
I beleive Jim's work is outstanding and is not in question.
Playing the happy customer and booing anyone making suggestions won't help MMvapors much. a couples of ways you can help MMvapors is one, take ur cc out and buy some stuff. two: Give a honest feedback so that the manufacturer can adjust.
Go back a few hundred pages: I'm sure you'll find a few issues Jim can address in a future version. ppl are drilling holes in screws for pete's sake. Rick, you go to the toilets with yours but in ur vids, you do NOT close the fill hole (dude, careful with open holes when ur in there). reason mentioned: "Air flow", I get your point of view now. Buddy, your DID leaks just as mine and like hundreds of other customers. Apart from a few jedis here, nobody can close that hole.
What I would like... (my humble sugestions that may be thrown to the garbage by Jim anytime) but what I would love to acquire from MMV is a device that addresses the following:

1) Wicking/Leaking
In my view, a top tank would resolve these issues. The wicking would be gravitational. Your juice would remain clear all the time.
2) inside tanks. glass or plastic that could be pre-filled and replaceable on the fly.
3) wick insulation. bottom and hole.

There are stuff like that out there (they do NOT perform as the DID) BUT, if this stuff was to be made by a mind like Jim... that would be something. I wouldn't just own a peice and a half of that either. And there is definitely a market for a geni that could be more "user friendly"...

The DID is a masterpeice. This is what I do at home, nothing performs like it. When I go out, i can't risk a leak and I like comfort... sue me.

regards to all... and please no offence to anyone...

edit: +1000 for you Uma, you know I love your bag right?

Sorry, but I can't understand this, maybe because English is not my first language?

I've got a short DID and a Mini DID and none of them leaks! I can carry them upside down all day and not one drop is leaking.
The only ever leaking I got was on an airplane.

I've got both running with concentrical dual wicks - just a little smaller than the wick hole, to allow air flow.
All my screws are in and I have no air holes in the screws. Maybe it's because I never have any holes in my wicks?

My DIDs are wicking great (yes with the screws in place) - I can chain vape them for ages in an almost vertical position
(I don't like to tilt my PVs).

So the thing I love most about my DIDs - that they don't leak at all - should be in question?

NO!! DIDs DON'T LEAK! (Sorry for shouting)

I'm quite a noob and when I can get them like that, everybody has to be able to do so!
I only started vaping in January and I use genisis style rebuildables since march.

Oh and one more point I have to make: wick insulation is bollocks, nobody needs it - just one more chance for errors - if my wick is oxidized well its dead - so why should I add insulation - it's just another piece that can get lost when I clean my atty.

edit: I forgot to mention that I'm using 70/30 VG/PG and 50/50 VG/PG juice.

Thank you for paying attention for some important posts. The rest is too busy singing songs about their favorite and beloved.. LOL

The centre post in the DID is adjustable. Did you perhaps tighten yours too much where it's pulled up into the connector? Just loosen a thread or two on the bottom of the three nuts up top and give it a little push downwards till you see the centre post just clear the bottom of the connector.

Ehm, my DID never leaks not when the cats knock it down on my nightstand and i find it in the morning laying air hole down, and not even when my Labrador brings it back to me after I accidentally tossed it thinking it was a stick (yes I am absentminded sometimes!)
I do have the fill screw in it, and I do have a wick that snugly fits the wick hole and it does wick like a champ without me having to tilt it.

About the top tank and glass bottles, I have a Genisis LV and it has not been used since I have the DID. I find with a bottom tank I can easily take the top cap off at any moment to adjust the coils if needed. With a top tank this gets a lot more complicated.
Just my 2 cents.

Miriam (with the Hat)

edit to add: all my friends that have a Zen atty now have taken the wick hole insulator thingy out. It is just not needed and only limits the size of the wick hole in my opinion.

Jim I can see your indeed fueling the "unconditional support" and the censorship mentality in here. I'm not sure where this will lead your business, but good luck to you my friend.

D Smooch, sometimes "Unconditional Support" is warranted when something works exactly how it was designed to work. There is nothing wrong with that kind of support from those who find it to their liking.

The big problem comes when that support is no longer warranted because something changes with the product and it no longer meets those standards yet people still swear it does. That in essence is now a lie and that my Friend is when it becomes a problem. (Not the case here because nothing has changed in the manufacture of these devices).

The other Problem is when that unconditional support becomes rude to others who do not agree.

There are proper ways of supporting unconditionally and then there are ways of doing this that are totally unacceptable.

I have seen both in this thread. I ignore the rude and belittling ones and take on board the information provided by those who are honestly and sincerely trying to help others.

POLDIAC will be the name of my Battery Holder!

So I twisted 32s this morning for my DIDs. Wow. On one hand, it seems there is certainly more vapor. Jury is out on TH and flavor. They are great but not sure on difference yet. Course, they are not "broken in" yet. They are between 1-1.4ohms.
Wat I WILL say is wrapping them was a breeze. Very little, if any, nudging of the coils. Where they are placed they stay. And that virtually eliminates any E errors on provari.

Oh, and for some reason, the fill screw in use seems to wick just fine with twisted. Without twisted, I just couldn't use the fill screw. Hello travel friendly!!!
