It works fine on an ego twist, and negative on the hot spots, recently switched to 30 ga and have no problems in that department

Ok. Do you have anything to put on the heated mod? Vape like that a bit? Is this a new mod? Works fine with something else?
Yeah I don't have anything besides the ego and the legacy to test on, and I recently gave all my other carton to a friend who is trying to get into vaping... I'm at work now, but I'll give the legacy a good cleaning when I get home, maybe the brass screws are tarnishing?

Yeah but even if you could try a ..... umm...... Carto on the legacy. (Yes everyone I said it). Something else to vape on the legacy. Now the issue may not repeat if the ohms are higher, but then again......
Well, it was time to change coils, and so I decided to do one up out of twisted 32 ga. Kanthal. Man. What a difference in terms of ease of setup. I had my new coil firing evenly within a minute of wrapping it 'round my wick. One small short to deal with and we were good to go.
6 wraps, coming in at roughly 2 ohms, and it's firing beautifully at 4 volts. I'm even getting decent flavour from some old juice I had to cut 50/50 to bring the nic down to a vapeable level.

I finally caved on the twisted yesterday. And you nailed it. The wraps were almost TOO easy. (Knocking on wood somewhere)
Where you wrap it it stays. Zero problems. So in my spare time ill take some 32s and go to the garage and strap it on my drill and twist a dozen or so to be ready.

Actually the really easy way to do it is to take a few feet of the wire you want to twist..... Fold it evenly and then anchor that loop around something then use the drill to twist. A Nail in an old workbench works great then you just cut the length you need to wrap your coil with from the already twisted wire

I took about 8 ft of 32 gauge and made about a 3 3/4 ft length of pre-twisted coiling wire and just carefully coiled it into loops and uncoil what I need, cut it and go from there. It is such an awesome setup this way. The one thing I think I notice most is how different nuances of a juice come out differently or are more prevalent in twisted vs untwisted wires. Not sure what causes this to happen but it sure is neat

Yeah. I can see some juices being affected differently. But so far the are vaping dreams.
Ok. My gummy bear DID is Eing my provari. No hot spots, no issues. Okie dokie. On the Paps it went. Vapes perfect to me.
It is One strand with the two ends brought together and then twisted up to make one strand of twisted wire.

One. It's easier to just "fold them over" and twist. Drill makes this process super easy. I could imagine two wires is just cumbersome and unnecessary. And if you cut the "fold off, you get your two anyway.
Good posts lately, thanks every one. So I decided to try a 4cm*10cm solid fat #325 SS wick and some 28 gauge nichrome wire from my first rebuildable spree a few months back. It makes 1.5 ohms though it takes some time to heat up enough to vape plums the way I like. I'm hoping my P+ 18650 will have the umph to make this setup fog!
The sabertouch just produces wisps, while my DNA12 has to be turned to 11 Watts to be enjoyable. Any suggestions?
For backup I still have my first #400 wick Jim style with the kanthal that came with my standard, in case this bombs. I would like to try this in #500 just waiting on the opportunity and enough mesh

Certainly not intentionally passing this over. I just ant speak on saber. A first I was going to suggest more coils until the mech mod comes in. But after seeing the pics, I think there's no vacancy in the inn.
I generally vape them all on mech mods. Sometimes with a kick. Sometimes without. Is that wick TOO wet. Bubbling a lot?
