Hey Rwechsle, when you travel do you carry a blunt tip needle. Just curious how you get through security with one. If you don't, how do you fill your DIDs when you are traveling.

I am able to fill my DIDs with a standard 30ml bottle, no needle. I have a small gap between the wick and the wick hole so that acts as air displacement.

Thanks. I just got back from a trip and man I really do miss my DID when I'm gone. I usually take a ego type battery and clearomizer and some juice. I also use a small cig sized PV on the plane in the bathroom.

i need some advice over here. i had my DID setup with 400 mesh, kanthal 28 ga, coil 3 wraps, no hotspot and i had an amazing first hour of performance, right then it starts to deteriorate like crap. its now taking so long to heat/fire up, maybe 4-5 secs before i start seeing vapors and its sizzling noise, but nothing close to a loud sizzling, huge vapor anywhere :(

here's a pic of the setup if it can be of any help.

Sounds like you have a wonky positive connection. Your coil looks good. Check the positive nuts and make sure the wire is making good connection with the positive pole. If all good there then check the DID to PV connection. Clean all the contact points on PV ....switch to battery then the 510 connection up top. Make sure the positive pole on the DID is making good connection with the PV. If the Positive pin is not low enough can use a small O ring to lower.

IMG_0023-1.jpgSo here is an interesting DID finding. It seems that after 3 or 4 days on a new wick I start to lose vapor. Like a drastic reduction. So I will simply unwrap single wrap, secure it and it vapes like a champ all over again. The coil I'm vaping on now is a single wrap and it vapes better than any coil I've wrapped yet! I imagine as the coil breaks in its able to handle more watts? I don't know the electrical science behind it at all but I do know its awesome! It's worth noting that I vape on all 3.7v devices.IMG_0024-1.jpg

I'm with you on that one. No matter how tight I roll it, my solid 500 mesh wicks are almost never compact enough for me to wrap a decent coil. The few odd times I've gotten it down, they've wicked great! But I think I'm gna stick with my thin, hollow wicks for now, at least until I can devise a more consistent technique for rolling solid 500 wicks.

For my solid wick my preferred technique is now rolling wick without an implement, no pin or anything, get wooden cutting board on table, using my fingertips to palm heel rolling motion, roll in tightening direction, (one direction only), applying a far amount of body weight. I do this 20 or 30 times, and my 500 mesh ends up solid and tight. I do, however, now roll mesh tight enough to leave air space around wick and body hole to allow for better capillary action, and ease of filling. I use an eyedropper and go straight into fill hole with no leaking or problems. Makes for better, on the run filling. I was using a wooden board as a rolling implement instead of my palm, but I think I am achieving good results with just my fingers and palm. I am a big guy, and am leaning very hard, as I do the roll motion. Just some thoughts, hope it helps.

Hi there!
I want to say something about the shipping method!
I saw many lost shipping and I lost many last mounth with elta shipping and 6 euro cost!
I made an excellent deal with UPS and the cost from 72 euro for this kind of shipping came down to the prices you see in the checkout!
This was for USA and for Europe which is next day delivery was 35 euro and you can have this with allmost 13 euro depending the country!
I am working with them for a cheaper price but slower delivery !
Just saying that you can check and see that the prices you get are more than "very good"

Just picked up my first did today. Subscribing here so I know where to come back and ask all my noob questions lol.

Noob question #1;

Where can I get a pyrex, quartz, glass tank?? My juices are killers and etch/crack everything that isn't glass or metal.

Jim is close to offering on his site the glass tanks.

Well, IMHO for someone buying kit it's worth it. Delivery time is really impressing: less than 30 hours from Greece to Poland and i can enjoy my new little setup :)
