I have been having this weird thing going on with my resistance. I have a ProVari and a Zmax that I'm using the check ohm's. My DID's ohms are all over the place. I can't use my DID on the Zmax's VW setting. I don't have a short and I don't have a problem with VV settings. No matter how many times I rewrap the coil my ohms keep going from 3.4-8.9 Does anyone know why this is happening? My other DID is fine and not having this issue.

You have probably checked this, but when this happens to me the top nut is not tight enough.

Take it apart and give it a good clean, then put it back together and make sure that the inner tube is tightened well.
I have had this once but it disappeared after i cleaned the DID (completely taken apart)

I've had this once when I cleaned the DID and forgot to dry the little tube where the centerpost goes through.

Setting your coils to around 1.2Ω on a 3.7 v batt is great even when it drops off. I use 28 ga wire to get .9Ω and that rocks

Same here! I've since been on a mission to have 2 of each style/sized DID so that I may have one of each drying in the drainer til I need to wash it's mate.

Had this issue when I built my DID without it being on a PV. Every time I took it apart it looked perfect, every time I twisted it down on my PV it pushed the center post up just enough to loosen the top nut. Fix was to tighten the bottom nut while on a PV. (YMMV)

What atty were you vaping like that with? Only way i've been able to really push 35W is in Odt. Managed to get 30 out of a geni yesterday though! 0.45Ω at 3.7v, but despite all of my efforts, I haven't been able to get a decent 7.4v genesis setup going. Probably going to have to start it up at 3.7v and then move my way up to 7.4v so it doesn't pop the coil right off the bat. I'll figure it out though...I always do when it means taking this nonsense to a new stupid level....

Just been looking at Poldiac pic's again and realised I can't see the vent hole, is it hidden in the slots on bottom ring?

If you look closely at the pics Jim has posted you can see every other oval in the basecap is a hole.

The mod vents differently depending on which position you have it in, but I know that there's a vent hole hidden inside the button housing, and I'm pretty sure that it vents out the slots in the caps. Jim has asked me to do a full tutorial/manual on the device, so I'll start working on that as soon as I get my unit

Do you know what type of batteries (nipple vs flat) I want to stock up while I wait for tubes, realy looking forward to holding those babies.

No, but if you send an email to IBTanked, they probably can make you one. I'm pretty sure they make the tanks for the standard DIDs.

Just got myself a drill press today, so I experimented by drilling an extra 1/8" hole in the top plate of one of my DIDs
With the U-wick, so far it's vaping great! Next up I'm going to add a 2nd 1/16" airhole to the top cap so I can run dual wicks/dual coils with even airflow over each wick/coil!
