There is definitely a learning curve with the DID and Poldiac. I was having contact and hole lining up correctly issues. When I did get it lined up I would remove the top cap the wick would be all bent up. I got it set up perfect now but it was not as easy as I thought. This is only my 3rd genny. The iHy and the lavagen being the other two. Not complaining. More of just an observation.

You did not tight enough the positive pole so it goes around easy by the screw of Poldiac

Glad you got it working well.

Uma covered a lot of it (wick ~1mm off bottom of tank, even or shorter than top of center post). I'd guess if your wick is getting bent it's too tall as the top cap chamber is cut a little taller than the center post.

Hi Jim,

Any chance you'll be selling parts for the switch? My screw that connects to the positive post of the atomizer is scratched up already :-( been trying all my atomizers on my poldiac hahaha

Thanks!

Unfortunately we just lost my wife's aunt. Very strange how we just discussed this a few days ago and she was fine at the time. So my wife and daughter are heading to NH tomorrow thru Sunday and I will have our 3 boys.
I am very ready to start meeting up with my fellow vapers. So please keep me informed on the next one. Is there a place where these are planned? FB or something?

Sorry for your loss my friend

Am I to understand Jim correctly, I will have to buy a PolDID in February and a HyDID in March?

Only if you wish to have 2pcs
Most parts will be used from PolDID to HyDID
HyDID will have only one different from PolDID, the new top cap (I need time for this)

does anyone has tips for removing the bottom base insulator? mine's damage and need to pull it out but i can't seem to have any ideas.

If you're talking about the one in the bottom of a DID, I poke them out using a paper clip from the inside (through the hole the center post screws into)

I used a 1/8" pop rivet mandril and gave it a small tap, replacing was easy once I worked out the right size as there is a slight size difference between top and bottom.

Uma, glad yours is close as I was feeling guilty about enjoying mine so much when you didn't have yours ( No Miriam, I didn't mean it that way!!!). That polished brass is beautiful, I just got some Sharkhide polish in a co-op and would be glad to send some your way if you like to keep it all beautiful.
