The more I think about it if it screws on one way it will the other try it again you most likely got rid of the bur

I just tried it on mine it works use a cart so you can screw it all the way in.
Tony

It's a good idea Tony. I just tried it with a Mini and the 510 post does go all the way through if you remove the black delrin ring.

Well, bummers, it's not me and Miller afterall. I hoped it'd be all fixed come tomorrow morning, with a few aspirin. Thanks for the brainstorming and stuff. Maybe we can take out the Delrin, push the connector out, flip it, re-press it in there, re-insert the delrin, and be good to go?

The threads are the same from both sides. The idea is to try and clean-up the threads by screwing something from the bottom (all the way through)

Anyone know if the Poldiac with a D20 weighs less than, about the same, or more than a Provari with a ZAP?

I don't have a ZAP or a scale, but it feels about the same as a Provari (w/18650) with an OdyV2 (maybe slightly lighter).

Teamwork. She will be good to go. If she tries a cart no need to remove the delrin. But she needs to have one.
Tony

Just wasn't sure if the brass threads on a carto would get boogered up by the SS threads, carto bases are pretty soft.

I had a slight bur on the top cap threads when I first got mine. They smoothed out through use. I twisted it in and out while pulling outward as I tightened it and pushing in while loosening.

For the 510 connector threads, do you have a Mini? I would see if you can thread it in from the inside of the top cap. There's a black Delrin ring inside the top cap that is pretty easy to remove with a little screwdriver. I'd try a Mini since none of the other DID bases would fit in the recessed area (could try a carto but I don't thing the brass threads on a carto would hold up against the SS threads on the Poldiac top cap). If you can get a Mini's thread started from the inside you could slowly work it (twist/untwist - don't force it might get stuck) till the threads were cleaned up.

Sorry it's giving you "the business"...
Cool, I'll give it a shot with my Mini. I did get a Cartomizer all the way in, and the Gemini partly way in, with the Delrin still intact. I will remove the Delrin and try the Mini.

Tried the Carto, didn't work the way we hoped.

Tracking # I guess, but at least you know you will have the best attention possible. I really do admire you for your diplomatic approach to this.
Why thank you, that's very nice of you to say! But, I must confess, that it's because I know Jim's work and service both are top notch, plus the posters in this thread are the best people on the net, and so it's easy to be relaxed about it even while crying cuz my toy won't work right. This place rocks.

Removing soon! Cross your fingers guys!

I love you guys.

You're a genius! well done mate! I didn't even think to apply that tactic even though I have used it in past years, cool head = karma thinking:)

Hot daaaam!! The Gemini is in the house. :)
I gave up trying to take the Delrin out... it's tougher than me and my tiny screwdriver. (need a bigger one I guess). So, I used a the SS Carto, with the push/pull trick, repeatedly, until something fell out and voila! Thanks guys!!!

I'll swear on my Mother's grave til the day I die that I didn't see no burr! It was invisible, I tell ya, invisible!

My tank is empty already lol.
I've tried every battery size, and I like how it doesn't matter if I use my thumb or my index, the button is smooth and silky, a real dream to use, like the Roller's, but different. The Roller feels like a soft, flat, wonderfully fluid keyboard key... a real delight to use, but the Poldiac's button feels even better. I can't say it's smoother, but it "melds" smoother, like as if I'm in a fantasy film and my hand just went through the looking glass and powered up the universe. Heaven.

It's heeeeeeere!!!! Dang it's beautiful!!! I am at a loss for words.
I took pic after pic, but they all suck so far. I'll try again tomorrow in the daylight.
What do I do with the stuff in the plastic bag? (a skinny o-ring, 2 springs (1 silver, 1 brass), big black delrin thingie, and a silver button thingie).
I'm too excited to figure it out lol. I couldn't get my Gemini on it yet, so I know I gots to do something besides drool, cry, drool, spaz out, ...
Loved the packaging for the journey too. Very nice and safe!

off to watch Rick's video.

:D *hands Uma a bib* (wanted to say more but found out the rest has already been answered)

P.s. I'd buy one of those engraved Drip Tips! (but in a month or two, when hubby puts his knife away)

*Points to the Risotto recipe* USE it girl! :p

Thanks Cloud!! The video is buffering right now on the bottom button thingie, and everything you said is spot on and recognizeable to my overly hyped out mind. We're in sync! lol. Thanks for the explanation.
The shirt over the button was on, I don't know if there's one underneath or not. I tried to take the shirt off, but it thinks it's too cold in here or something and fought me. I'll try harder after I watch the video. Take off top cap, push button, pull... right?

Youre my kind of girl. First thing you wanted to do is take your shirt off. :).

Tony

Darn! Tony beat me to the punch!!!!

But all kidding aside, CONGRATS sis! I am happy for you! :D

While drinking coffee this morning I was all happy for you for having received your package, then I went out to drive the ex to the train station (could not let her cycle through this snow storm!), when I read on when I came back I was mortified! Cheers to all the help you got, this is why I love this thread so much! I am glad that horror story had a happy ending!!

Now going back to bed, because 4,5 hours of sleep is just not enough!

G'day all, need some help here. First of all I am Not Complaining.

Ok I have Poldiac and as we all know it kicks like a Mule, problem is it kicks too hard for me so I need to tame it.
Don't know if its a problem with my wick setup or maybe should get a kick for it, so just hoping for some advice on what kick to get ect.
Currently I am using #400, 30g 2/3 wrap @ 1.2 ohm 3.3 v on Provari, once battery drops off I use my wonderful Poldiac so comfortable and smooth.
At first was using #500 mesh but thought high VG content was the problem so went back to #400, I really want to solve this issue.

Hey Burnie

The Poldiac hitting so hard - shows how inferior most other PV's are.
