The Gemini looks so good on the poldiac it makes me think they were made for each other. My number is 0127.
I couldn't agree more. Lovely fit indeed.

I purchased, a while back, a new top cap with serial # and logo. It was for those that purchased a DID before that was being done.

So I finially got around to installing it last night and the only drip tips I own that fit are Sagewood glass tips.....personally I prefer a short SS tip on my DID (I think it suits it best) but can no longer use them......any ideas?

Thx

 Wow, that thing is the Energizer-DID! It keeps going and going and going and going and going!
Great video!
RiP on his video with pourous wick was proud that he can vape 10sec at 4 o'clock without hot spot. So I just wanna share my Power of the DID video at 12 o'clock ;) of course with mesh wick, 3 months old :)

Tony, for DIY juice ~1% would be 1 drop aroma to 5ml base. Haven't read thread a couple of days ;]
Regarding Poldiac, I LOVE IT!!! Had an experience with a less flavor, th and vapor. First I blamed on my batteries, then coil, and after contacts were cleaned, everything became as it has to be. What a difference! Have I mentioned, you can set up your wick&coil easy peasy with Poldiac? Jim, hands down, your product is awesome!

Here is a little airplane story that gave me a grim ear to ear last night .
Many many years ago I flew an aircraft the had a turbo charger. What was cool was at night the intake from the exhaust to the turbo charger would glow red hot. You could see it glowing through the cooling vents. We would always tease the new guys saying hey man I think we have an engine fire. Well what made me remember this was last night I woke up and took a vape on my Gemini. As I did I could see the red glow in the air hole. Yes it was getting dry. But immediately I remembered the pa-31. freaking sweet.

What is your wick setup? I can chain vape with 30g without a dry hit, but 28g is coming and I'd like to know this wicking magic before 28g reaches me ;)

Somewhere in PA on my Ultra Limited
Wow, cleaning day (had to get some Pluid out of my Shortie - so full PGA bath). I rebuilt #500/28awg@0.8ohm (3/4), really great setup running on my Poldiac. One thing I noticed is that I might as well stick a straw in the tank and drink the juice. I feel like I can literally see the level dropping through the Pyrex.

Funny, I've been lip-locked to my Gemini since my Poldiac arrived and I'd forgotten how fun it is to see the little bubbles come out the bottom of the wick channel (almost feels like a reward for good vaping )

What worked?

Tony

Hi Tony, well for a start it was suggested that I increase resistance so I went from .9 to 1.2 with 5/4 wrap 30g, doing this stopped the harsh hits I also went back to #400 normal rolled wick all this helped, but saying all this I have just checked resistance and getting 1.6 so I guess coil has settled in and getting a great comfortable hit at 3.6 v.
I will leave the ultra low .9 .6 stuff alone and leave it to the people that know what they are doing, because I sure as hell don't.
By the way the trick you and Uma mentioned, sucking juice etc worked well too. I now want to find the best #mesh suitable for my needs.. high VG content...fun stuff this trial by error. Have also removed fill screw, would prefer to have it in though.

Glad to hear you have it tamed down to your personal preference. It's a shame having to leave out the fill screw though. When everything rolls together just right, it can be left in without any change in wicking.
A few things to try or check for that might help improve the wicking:
Is the wick end inside the tank cut at a 45% angle? (cut and then retorched to dissolve any frayed ends).
Did you use a straightened out paperclip to use as a rolling tool inside the wick? Using a tool like this, helps to assure a good solid air hole through the middle.
Perhaps the wick has too many layers and is rolled too tightly? Perhaps the opposite? Perhaps there's not enough rolls?
The coils are snug but not tight and choking the juice flow right? Can you gently lift and twist the wick out of the coils and reinsert?

It's usually one little thing... one tiny little thing that can be so exasperating. Best of luck, and don't give up! You'll soon have it all, the wicking, the flavor and the no spill/leaking :) Honest!

I make my coil before putting the wick in the wick hole leaving the paper clip through the wick. I roll it snug then remove the paper clip and the wick will spin easily. It works perfect every time. Works for me anyways.

I'll second that!

As I use the Poldiac with satin brass clothes the brass is starting to tarnish. It looks great with the contrast of the all polished body. Almost has an antique look to it. I couldn't be happier with this device.
Ohhh, that sounds lovely!! I wonder if the Spray Polish "StayBrite" (?) would be able to seal it in, preserve the beautiful patina?

Another Poldiac and DID on the way from Greece....Yeah!
Congrats!!! Lucky Bum!!! What options did you get for this one? Are you going to HyDiD one of them and keep the other one free? (that's my goal, to have a second one to HY). Are you going to HY both? Neither?
Congrats!!!

I still haven't prepped a 500 wick, yet I have the mesh on hand. I still need to pick up the 28 and the 30 gauge wire too. This post is inspiring! (you always inspire, CW!) It's time for me to get my quest on and put this at the top of priority list again.
