Well, for anyone who ever has troubles with a DID or a Poldiac here's a quick story to make you feel better.
Needed to dry burn my coil so (as I always do) I twited out my wick, burn the crud off and "yeah" great glowing coil! That's the last thing that went well...
Went to twist in my wick and crap it twisted alright, looked like a screw (kinked top to bottom). Ugh so ok, made a new wick twisted it into that beautiful coil and screwed it onto my Poldiac. Hmm, no firing. No problem go to adjust the positive post adjuster and uh-oh 510 connector stuck in top of Poldiac (deep breath, calm down). Get the hemostats and a rubber band and gently unlock the threads (what was that craking sound?). Ugh! cracked the pyrex tank

(2 deep breaths, calm down). Took the DID apart and rebuilt with my spare Kir Fanis tank (reused wick, coil and the juice saved ~3/4 tank into a syringe). Put all back together, pushed the button and Yeah!!! All is good again. Ok, let's top off the tank whilst we're at it (using those wonderful Luer Lock bottles with the cool 16ga blunt tip needle

). Hmm, why does my hand feel gooey? Why isn't the tank filling? UGH!!!!! I tilted the wrong way, apparently wasn't paying attention and proceeded to douse the counter, and my entire beautiful Poldiac with a couple ml's of tasty HHV Gandalf. And yes juice does wick incredibly well into the button housing through the button hole and yes juice does wick incredibly well under the shirt and the pants.
Long story short and a complete tear down/PGA bath/rebuild later, she and I are smiling once more.
Moral of the story, shoot vaping Gremlins on sight (don't waste time with those "humane" traps...) and make sure you have a back-up DID ready for stressful extended down times.
