Funny how there has been so much cleaning talk today as I gave my poldiac a bath today also. I clean my contacts with diver jewelry cleaner in an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. Works wonders. Even polished my pants and shirt today. Haven't cleaned in almost 2 weeks. First toot of plaid bout blew my socks off. What a difference!

UPS arrived (finally) around 6:30. All set up with a Kick and my Temon atomizer. Yay! Signature even updated to include the new family members. I have outgrown the eGo starter kit box that was my original e-cig storage. I got this pretty lady today too and reclaimed half my kitchen bar and half my dining room table.

Got my ribbon wire today. 1st attempt 3/4 on #500 Shortie DID = 1.1ohm (Kanthal D Ribbon resistance heating flat wire 0.6*0.1mm / .024*.004). I reused a seasoned wick (about 3 weeks old) so no issues at all with hotspots. Makes tons of vapor but the flavor isn't there yet and doesn't heat up as quick as my 2/3 of 28awg (will run for a day or so and then take off 1 wrap and see what I get). Only way I could get it to not twist was to wrap with the wick out.

Kinda looks like Tony's

Just a different way of securing the wire to the positive post. There are other genny's that use a similar system. personally, I don't see any advantage to it. I prefer to have the wire held tightly by the nuts rather than by a washer held in place by pressure of a spring.

Me too! Pete, I never even managed to get a wire to get in it:blush:

So I had been running a 4 wrap coil of 28 Ga Kanthal on a solid 500 mesh wick for about a couple of months. I just switched to a 6 wrap 26 Ga coil, and what a huge difference.

I too know longer measure the resistance of my coils since I got my Poldiac. I use it almost exclusively. The only times I don't is when the bulge in my pocket might offend some people, and then I switch to the Temon.
:) that was a bulky comment

Yes I didnt mean for that to come across as a negative thing. It is an incredible device. I still stand by my original opinion that it is the best mech mod to come to me.

I didn't take it that way. I laugh at night when I have the same trouble. It has been suggested and works push down with your thumb as you turn Lol.

Great to see you, if even for a slight moment, Brigit!!!
What great news, for Jim, from Germany! Please post the review when it's up.
The Poldiac is a big hit in EU! The DID series is also of great interest once again. Jim! You are going to be busier than ever... I hope you are busy reviewing helper's applications... you're going to need it!

Congrats to all the new owners of Jim's gems!!

I'm always having trouble finding the button on my Poldiac with out looking. How about a braille style little nub? Sorry IDK the official term. A small bump in the center of the button so we can feel where it is.

That's actually a functional aspect to the slotted shirt. I can easily find the slotted areas and then simply a 90 degree turn and either thumb or forefinger are on the button.

Do they change in the list order by popularity?

As far as I can remember, they have been in the same order since posted. Got to the site within 10 min. of the post here that they were in stock, and checked em out.

As a matter of fact, the last one was originally named Full Polished or something like that, before it was renamed RW some few hours later.

Then again, I could be wrong.

Maybe the middle two have switched places. *shrug*
