Quick tip I discovered for the Poldiac. Forgive me if you already found this or have a better way.
Want a perfect fit for the top adjustment screw to your chosen device -- regarless if you go for flush fit or raised to align wick/breather hole?
With the top cap fully screwed on, raise the top adjustment screw to slightly higher than what you already have figured is right for your setup.
Then screw down your device. Once it hits the screw with a mild amount of torque (hopefully just shy of flush or where you wish it to sit), just unscrew it a bit (no torque), then screw it back on again to a mild amount of torque. This shouldn't require more than about 30 degrees of twist.
As you do this, the torque applied to the screw while unscrewing will gently lower the screw on each mini-twist. Eventually you'll lock your device in place with just the right amount of screw to device pressure/torque.
I found this to be faster than unscrewing the device or cap and readjusting the screw. It kept going from too high to too low more often than not.
Hope it helps someone out there.
