I have rewicked 3 DIDs with ribbon wire. Have to say it makes for a great vape. I have 2 right at 1ohm and one at 1.3ohm. I wrap with the wick in. If the wire gets a kink just run it through your fingernails and it will straighten out. The top nut is the most tricky....I do a slight twist so that the wire lays flat on the nuts, I can tighten without too much difficulty.
I have also got 3 DIDs running with ceramic "fish stick" wicks. Not so sure I am sold on this. It works but I had to use a bit of cheesecloth under the coil. I have some more on order so I may get more adventurous with the ceramic then. Will probably try the ribbon kanthal. I don't think the ceramic wick is going to work well with a low ohm coil..... I think it will run dry.

I just did mine with fresh ribbon, very slight kanthal taste. Nothing like the round wire.

Okay, I took your word for it, and made a purchase. If anyone wants some AWG 28 for the cost of shipping ($2?) Let me know. I have like 95'. I wont need all this wire.

I also have a lifetime supply of wick (silica, cotton, bamboo, ceramic), mesh (200, 325, 400, 500 and 625), wire of all guages and a couple of 100ft ribbon. With enough nic in my freezer and a hundred or more flavoring I should be good for the rest of my life. Let's not even look at my battery stash....should be good forever as well.

Ive been fighting the Kick in the Vmod xl since I gave away my only two aw490's. Cant have it all I guess. But I am working on the best. I have to blame RW at some point. Precise and then Caravela. Now its just caravela and Poldiac. Well give it up vape world. I sold the P+ and now I have this crappy ... Groove thing. Yep, It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll).

Where do you buy your batts from? I've been looking at reupping my supply but just am not sure where to get the best prices on legit aw18350's. The fantastic DID deserves a fantastic battery!

Aw 18650, 18490, and 18350 all come from 310 vapers.
My Panasonic 18650 came from Amazon, they have great sales fairly often. I buy when they are 4 for $20. I actually prefer these in all my mechanical mods.
My MNKE from RTDvapor

Not totally sold on it. 28 or 30 still is my fav. Need to work with it more. Learning curve I think.

Hello all, relativily new to the forum. I have been vaping RBAs for a while and have several nice setups. I am looking to purchase some new style rba's and found a "like new" DID LV in the classifieds and am purchasing for 65.00 with extra bottles. I found this thread and have thumbed through quite a bit and appreciate all the good info and Jim's website.
I have learned all I can from several posters and wanted to say thank you.
Is there anything I need to know or anything you can help me with before I start down this road of DID's? I have been using Zen's ZAP atty's and other generic rba's for now but I thought I would move on to other rebuildables.
Thanks for having me, Chris

When you said DID LV I think you meant the genesis LV. When you said extra bottles that's what made me think that. Is this what it looks like?

If so this is not a DID and not made by Jim.

I was just reading a post by someone at another forum, who said that Jim said that there wouldn't be anymore Temon's for awhile, because he's doing some changes to it. Is this right? I'm so out of the loop. What changes are taking place?

Oh hey! The kids ran into a vaper a the ski lodge last week. They didn't get a chance to talk much, but they told me it looked like an eGo Twist or a Spinner. It was long, black, and had the little light on top. My gSon mentioned that I vape, but the guy didn't seem too interested in hearing about an old granny vaping ... :D
