Is there any easy method for cleaning the Poldiac's silver contacts?

I haven't noticed any diminished power yet after a couple weeks of daily use so far... but I am not good at electronic diy to say the least.

Most just rub into baking soda in palm of hand. Others use baking powder salt Hot water mix in small container with some alfoil on bottom, this is the method I use
If working near sink place paper towel or teatowel over plug hole, nearly lost the firing pin a few days ago
BTW baking soda/baking powder is same stuff

thanks burnie, do you just soak it in that mixture or is it a paste that you rub the contacts (second method) ?
And what part/s exactly do you treat?

By memory Jim suggested rubbing the Silver Plated parts in palm of hand with Bicarb, I just mix a couple of spoons bicarb pinch of salt on some alfoil in small dish add boiling water after the fizz drop all silver plated into centre and leave for about 5 min.
There are some good video presentations on this thread about a month ago. Find the video's and you will find taking Poldiac apart for cleaning is as easy as, its great to be able to be able to do this as accidents do happen (to me anyway) like spilling juice. Not many mods allow for this.
And yes clean all of the silver plated contacts, while they are soaking clean Poldiac, dry everything off and:vapor:
Some people do use bicarb paste

I bought one some time ago on Ebay to make a modholder
but it was just to small..
It's slightly to thick because there is wood inside.
But it already turns out to be very comfortable when it is cold!
That's what I was interested in, a winter wrap that looks fantastic as well.
Surfed and found some affordable ones at Amazon that might work. (they're outrageous at the cigar stores).
Sweet idea you've shared Brigit!

I am not one to get jealous quickly, but that just made me jealous! :D

It's a very dark brown...would match your hat!!

Just be warned NOT to throw away the wooden parts the Poldiac is shipped in.
As you can see, they make perfect supports!! :)

By the way, Miriam, did you recognize the background of the first picture??
