Hi. Great informative site. Have to stop analogs. Searched- Read 6 Part Library intro (and more) Read

DonDaBoomVape"s great info along with excellent input.
Type too slow so message will be abbreviated.

Sold on the KR8- for now. Cartomizers then progress. (probably to 901 w drip top) Sporadic research for a couple weeks- maybe 18hrs of reading in the past 3 days. Smoking too much while reading-must stop. Time to buy and move forward.

So I want kR8 (KR808D-1) with some loaded cartomizers. Enough to hold me for a week. Then I will order the next batch for DIY. Tired. OK-

QUESTION- (did search and read and re read) SMOKETIP- more $ but it has several features that I like (warranty, free ship, great reviews & quality chargers)) especially for the batteries -the KR8's- that are my current desire. WHY are they listed as 180mAH on their site?

My desire for the KR8's come from all of the info I have read and DonDaBoomVape"s great detailed thread.(Best E-cig for a First Time Vaper) The KR8 is listed there as 280mAH. Searches on ECF led me to info that stated SMOKETIP is a KR8 also.

If so-why the 180mAH rating????

I will call them tomorrow. I was just looking for some input from anyone on the ECF site.
Thankyou

KR8 batteries tend to come in 3 sizes -- short 180mah, regular 280mah, and long 380mah. It sounds like SmokeTip's selling short batteries. Note that not all kr8 batteries are made equal, and some are higher or lower mah at approximately the same sizes. They also may have different cutoff times.

Personally, I'd suggest checking out Vapor4Life's Vapor King and Bloog's Maxx Fusion for two great kr8 options. Also, if you think you'll eventually want to try dripping with a 901 atty, make sure you get manual batteries as you can kill autos by dripping.

I started with kr8 and cartomizers for the first month, and I'd have to suggest you get at least 280mah manual batteries, preferably the longer 380mah if you can afford it. At first I was vaping like crazy, and my 280mah batteries from cigeasy.com only lasted about 4 hours, so I was constantly charging and changing batteries.

I agree with toddos on the Vapor King and Maxx Fusion as good choices for a kr8. Good warranty is important. Trust me on that - one of my kr8's died after 2 days. Luckily, I had a whole 7day warranty. Geez, that's what I got for buying right before finding ECF.

SmokeTip also only offers the automatic batteries. If you decide to start refilling or want to try dripping, it's not recommended with autos since juice can leak into the battery and fry it. Automatics can be a great introduction to vaping, but most people eventually upgrade to manuals within a short period of time.

I would also recommend checking out some of the sites that have been listed. Sometimes Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA will also have good prices on KR8 starter kits.

I have just started vaping with the KR8 from PrimeVapor.com It is a 280mAh. I vape pretty much how I smoked. Every 1/2 hour to one hour for about 5 minutes. I am getting about 8 hours out of one battery. You can buy manual or automatic. I have the automatic. Their cartos are the soft tip, easy to refill. Flavors are good, I have not bought other cartos that are prefilled to compare. I am very happy with my purchase.

I agree - I started with V4L shorties and while the size is nice it's much better to have the longer charge life of the standards. And the standards fit in their PCC for charging on the go.

BTW Vapor4Life sale today until 9:30PM CST

Only for purchases over $50....
First enter this code: SMILIN10 for 10% off
Then enter FREESHIPPINGUSA for free shipping (or FREESHIPPINGWORLDWIDE if international order)

And buy some juice - you will be refilling cartos. A carto does not last as long as a pack of cigs. And you want to add juice while it is still wet - whenever the vapor seems to be less. You may be able to get a week out of each carto.

I recommend you try their WOW Tobacco sampler - some good flavors. They also have 2 other tobacco samplers. So far I prefer their WOW juices. I like WOWBacco which is cocoa+tobacco (or WOWBOy which adds a bit of mint) and their WOW Vanilla is pretty nice. There are reviews on the juices and cartos.

And I recommend manual batteries. And one of their drip tips for when you have a hot carto. I have the Delrin black and it is very nice. I would not drip into it - the juice would likely go in the central air channel and down to the battery.

might also check out V2cigs.com,they have quality hardware and warranty, used to have stock issues, but have gotten lots better.

I would disrecommend V2 if you care about getting your product in a timely fashion. Expect multi-week delays, if not longer. V2 will sell you stuff that's out of stock and not tell you that. Instead they'll just take your money and delay the shipping. Plus, their hardware is no better than V4L and at least in IMHO their carts were substandard compared to V4L's CoolCarts.

+1 for the truth.

Vapor4Life sells manual batteries if you want to eventually drip. 901 atty's are compatable with the KR808. Bloog does not currently sell manual batts.

Vapor4life (already mentioned several times, their VaporKing PVs are 808), NHaler (saveinnj coupon), vaporsetc (vapezone) are several good vendors I've used. Like others said, a std 280 mAh battery or an XL/Mega 380 mAh battery are normally preferred unless someone absolutely has to have cig length. 380 mAh is better if you are even a moderately heavy smoker (I started with std 280 mAh batteries and a PCC charger, but it is much more convenient to get the XL batteries.
As to auto vs. manual, I've done a lot of refilling of cartos used on auto 808 batteries without issue. The basic of blowing through the carto and wiping the threads to clear loose juice should be done whether a carto is prefilled or filled by you. I do the same with manual batteries, if only so juice doesn't plug the air inlet holes.
For dripping, manual is certainly better, since you are directly adding juice while the atomizer is on the battery. I've not liked atomizers, stay pretty much strictly cartomizer (carto, combined atomizer and cartridge in one piece), but that is a personal preference, many swear by dripping.

I agree wholeheartedly with toddos: a while back I ordered several V2 kits and all were severely delayed. But I received them eventually, then graduated to other nicotine vaporizers. For pre-filled and blank cartos, I personally go for bloog and liquids from primevaping. I've also tried some pre-filled VG cartos from V4L (vanilla), and they weren't bad at all; just that VG takes a bit to get used to it. Cheers
