Hello all, I just got back into vaping after a 4 year hiatus where I went back to smoking. I recently purchased the Halo Triton and am loving it. It's a long way from the Joyetech 510's I was using way back when. I've learned a ton from this forum in the last few days (unfortunately some of it too late) and am enjoying the community a lot.

Anyway, my question is this: I was recently filling a tank and the bottle slipped and pushed the center post that the coil is screwed into all the way over to the side. I re-centered and then vaped as normal. Is this tank doomed to an early demise, though, because of this? I don't really want to lose a tank only 4 days in.

fill the tank with water just to below the post, leave it over night, just to see if it leaks.

If it doesnt leak, and will still heat up a coil, you should be fine.

Anyways take this as a sign... on your next order, get some spare tanks and a spare charger :)

If one of tank does fail one of these two test, you can always disassmeble the tank, because most likely the bent post might of tweaked the grommet at the bottom of the tank.

No, the center post or chimney is not removable. It's a very tight press fit. And if removed, it will most likely break the center wire conductor.

If it isn't leaking, smile! You could put some force downwards to make sure the center is seated into the base.

And if you do a leak test, consider using isopropryl alcohol. It's thinner with less surface tension than water. But regardless, juice is thicker, so if it isn't leaking with juice, you could be set.

And it might be tough to tell if a leak is from the base/post joint or just condensation dripping down the center of the chimney.

And welcome!!
