Hello people,

So I heard about e-cigs just two weeks ago and ended up buying a v2. Adored it. Would not even thing about having a real ... ever again. Problem is, I adore it so much that it's pretty much never out of my mouth, and the v2 just isn't enough for me. The battery lasts an hour, the cartridges last the same - it's a pain in the ..... And not so cheap.

I'm thinking of getting an ego model. Ego-c or T650. And the ego comes in different brands, doesn't it? Like joyetech or Janty. Which I found confusing at first because I thought ego was the brand..

So. Do I really have to worry about the brand? Joye and Janty are expensive, and I've found some much cheaper ego starter kits from such sites as esmoke etc

Or maybe I should be getting my hands on a 900mah battery? What is the highest mah ego-battery I could get without resulting in an e-cig the size of a small dog? And if I did get an ego-c starter kit with 650 battery, would I be able to upgrade to higher mah battery if i wanted? In other words, would it still be compatible with an ego-c atty and tank?

Hope you can help. Thanks.

In that physical size and category of PV models, I would look beyond the eGo. The ego has the smallest voltage battery on the market at only 3.4 volts. Even mini-battery models are 3.7 volts.

I would suggest you look at the Kgo 510, E-Power 510 or Riva 510 which are the same physical size as the eGo. These are true 3.7 volt batteries. They come standard with 1000+ mAh batteries unlike the eGo that comes standard with a 650 mAh battery and charges extra for higher mAh batteries. Both the Kgo and E-Power have legions of satisfied users. And the E-Power batteries only cost $4 - $5 whereas the eGo batteries cost $15 - $20.

E-Power:

Good Luck

Note: since you stated that you are a heavy vaper and live in the UK, you might want to look at the new Gepetto. I've read good things about it and it is one "sweet" looking PV especially the Tube model with the "Kick" in it. Plus, it's in the UK at Liberty Flights:

Hello & welcome Booblay :)

I'm also in the UK & here is a list of good UK e-cig & e-liquid suppliers -

ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK - Recommended & new suppliers (e-cig/juice sellers)

The best current deal on an ego style e-cig is the Riva 1100 kit from Vape Escape - use discount code ECF10 for 10% off -

The VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

You will just need some e-liquid to go with that kit & Vape Escapes Grizwald pic & mix are excellent juices & it's a good idea to go for the smaller sample bottles to begin with.

I have KGO 1100 mah batteries and they work great - IMO KGO kits are a great way to move up from the look a likes. With that being said, I since purchased a Provari and couldn't be happier! I still use the KGO when I am out and about because I will not take my Provari out of the house for fear of losing it or dropping it.

Anyway, I think you have made a good decision to join ECF - you will find lots of people here that will provide you with a variety of useful information. I hope you find what you are looking for!

Holy moly, wv2, I'm not sure I'm that advanced a vaper yet. lol. It looks cool though.

Incidentally, what is your experience with e-pipes? I had a dream last week that I went into an old fashioned pipe and almost bought one (boring dream, I know) and now the idea has been planted.

Provari looks fab but too expansive for me. That Riva kit looks like a lovely offer and I'm very tempted. Would you agree with kristlynngirl about clearos being better/easier? And if so, would you recommend I get an extra one with the kit?

Even though I'm new to this, I've jumpoed straight in with my clothes on, and I've already converted 5 people to e-cigs. Been buying e-liquids from liberty flights. Faves so far are the Pink Spot coconut cream pie and outlaw 555, the Vermillion Rivers kentucky cherrywood (deffo fave) and the liberty flights Ry4, among others. Though all of the above only taste nice for a short while. Most of the time when I'm vaping my V2 feels like an old train struggling up a steep hill, know what I mean?

Has anyone else tried liberty flights, and if so, would they say it was one of the better suppliers? Also, since my favourite flavours are a blend of smokey tobacco and caramel/toffee/vanilla, do you have any recommendations?

Thanks for all your advice on batteries btw.

Crap. Just went in my box to grab a cart and I see my V2 sahara bottle has leaked all over everything. And the cap was closed too.

Even more reason to buy a new one, right?

I would defiantly recomend the clearo i love the things and if you get an ego kit the CE4 clearos are great and screw right on for anything else with a 510 thread which is almost everything now it seems to have become the standard in all quality e-cigs. you'll need an adapter which is worth the 5 bucks. or if you want more fluid capacity the CE9 tanks are great. If you want something that will be a good starting point for a high end and take you into the world of vari volt easily with one purchase thus saving money. The ego twist is a great option lets ya tune the voltage thus temp to what ya like with a dial on the bottom it goes from 3.2 up to 4.8volts and they are an 1100mah batt which will last all day.

I've never used one, but people seem to love their pipes from this place...
Hand-Crafted ePipes, custom made personal vaping devices from ePipeMods.com ...more than just an eCig

Oh yes, definitely and without question.

Just one: Vermillion River Kentucky Premium Blend

Not necessarily, there are a lot of different Joye eGo batteries. Some you can even choose between 3.4v regulated or unregulated voltage. There are even VV eGo bats now (twist)
1000mAh MEGA eGo-T2 UPGRADE BATTERIES (CLICK FOR OPTIONS)
Turn off the regulated voltage and it functions exactly like a Kgo.

Liberty Flights is considered one of the top suppliers here on ECF. I really like their PG version Home Counties eliquid. Nice smooth tobacco flavor.

I was never a fan of the clearos. People tend to love'em or hate'em. Some have complained of plastic taste, muted flavors and poor throat hit. Plus some will leak. Like everything with vaping, it's trial and error.

I've seen people vape pipe mods. They are basically just a different "form factor" like a box mod, etc. What's inside them makes the difference in how they vape not the outside shape. Some people just like the form factor of the pipe mods.

Booblay, Liberty Flights is a very good supplier. However, the Riva kit I linked to is also from a highly respected UK supplier & a better deal than any LF have listed at the moment as it not only comes with higher mAh batteries, but also with a vision ego (CE4) clearomiser as well as 5 boge cartomisers & a drip tip to use with the cartomisers.

TJ, I agree that LF are a good supplier. However, their US site prices are far better than their UK prices & they don't have the 20% off discount code tab on the UK site :(

To give you an example of difference in price. their Riva carto delux on the UK site at £37.99 at current rates converts to $58.02 - almost $16 more than what they charge for on their US site & only a 10% max discount if folks know about the discount codes available.

Indeed. Which is why I took your advice and got that riva from vapeescape. So thanks a lot for that. Very excited. Already looking at my v2 like it's a dried up old turd, but guess I'm stuck with it for a couple of days. Also got some boge cartomizers.

Isn't it easy to spend hours looking up e-cig stuff on the net? But I love it.

I think I'll get a e-pipe just because I like the way they feel in your hand, and I just think it'll be funny. Smoking jacket next.

Unfortunately they'd run out of that kentucky premier blend (which is probably a sign that it is lovely), but just got more of the apple and cherry wood kentucky flavours.

This has been very useful so thanks people.

Get a passthrough battery so you can keep vaping while you charge it when it dies. I suggest a 1000mAh passthrough. Getting a eGo twist seems to be the way to go these days. My girlfriend just got one and she loves it...I haven't tried it yet though. Personally, I like dripping so I just vape my regular eGo
