I have worked my self above the EGO but it is the best to go to. I also started on the V2 and upgraded to Ego much cheaper. My how are we dumb when we start!!!! I love the EGO T models 950mah and they have the 5 click feature to turn them off. they can run 2mls through them easy before recharge. I prefer the ce4 clearmizors

Very true about being dumb when we start. Or at least ignorant. I might write a blog-type thing about this actually. There were plenty of reviews saying the V2 is good, one of the best, and they might be right, the v2 is one of the best. For what it is. A two piece e-cig for low or moderate users. It DOES have nice vapour.

MInd you, when I first started looking into e-cigs, I was after a model that looked like a cigarette, for dumb reasons. Also, I really didn't expect that I would love it so much that I would end up vaping like an idiot every ....... minute. All trial and error, like everyone says. And all subjective too. Just adds to the fun, I guess.

I started on exactly that kit you just bought, from Vapescape as well! Rivas are solid.

You might find you like the Vision Clearomisers. I wasn't sold on them at first, but really like them now for their ease of use. Also, all my friends who are new to vaping seem to get on really well with them.

I use now (mainly) an Ego C Twist and a 3.5 mil cartomiser DC tank with 3.0 boge xxl cartomisers when I'm not using my Vision Stardusts... (you can get all of these from Vapescape - if you are unsure just email Jason and he'll be really happy to recommend you things)

I know there are more advanced things out there - and I have a Lavatube - which is now a backup device) but I just find that the Ego-Style battery / Stardust combo works really well for me..

Have you ever counted the number of brands/kinds of cigarettes that are available? Finding that brand that was *perfect* was all trial and error. You could use the advice of friends as a starting point, but in the end you had to decide for yourself which brand was right for you. Why would we think for a second that vaping would be any different?
In the end, I found that the perfect PV for me was 'more than one'.

This is so true. I found having backup systems important if something failed for some reason or other. I think a lot of people on this board have gone through what I'm going through now, which is to find the perfect PV for them, and everyone is different.

I started out with BluCig, went down from 1.5 ppd analoges to just 4 cigarettes a day, needed three batteries, one charging at all times. Then switched to the Janty Neo and stopped smoking completely. The Janty Neo is not without it's problems, so I tried fluxomizers and they tasted like plastic, but lots of people likethem, I hated them. I tried a tank system with smoketech dual coiled cartridges and THEY tasted like plastic, so I trashed that (and here again, tons of people love them and haven't had that issue). Thinking about needing variable voltage, I was planing on buying a provari, but cmon...$$$$ IS an issue. Then, the ego twist apppeared. Perfect, I bought one, got some boge cartridges and I found ..for me..the PV. Now, I'm waiting for another twist to come thru the mail so I can keep one charging at all times. So what works for one may not for another, and you've got to try different things, and there is just SO MUCH STUFF out there it drove ME crazy, but in the end, you'll find just what you like, I'm sure.

I think if you are using an Ego style battery anyway, the transition to the Ego Twist is a good one to make. It gets you into the world of VV (and the benefits of this) without really breaking the bank to do it. I was about to press "buy" on a Provari until the Twist came in the post and I'm glad I did. I pretty much now use it exclusively. I have a couple and so far they have been excellent (I never went over 4.8 volts anyway, and if I do occasionally want to, I still have the LavaTube - Which is pretty much gathering dust now!)

I'm sure I will get a Provari at some point, and I'm really tempted to look at rebuildable Zenesis type things too as they do look excellent. But more that I want to rather than really needing to as I am very happy with my current setup. To get something more advanced is more the hobby kicking in than the necessity in a way.

You are right. There really is so much stuff out there and it's so daunting. Just keep watching reviews by people like pBusardo and this will help most people through the minefield in the early months of switching to vaping. Even if you spend a similar amount to smoking (which you probably won't) in the first few months, you aren't losing out. You are off the ciggies. That's good.

I also found that I have been able to offload the juices and devices I bought but didn't get on with to friends who took up vaping so it's generally win-win.

My only issue now is finding the perfect juice. I have bought so many that I hated. I'm pretty much happy with Longbottom Leaf, Boba's, Gorilla Juice and the El Toro Range. So after 6 months I finally hit on my all day vapes. I still buy the odd different juice, just in case though - Who knows? There may be a better one out there ;)

If you're going to get an Ego style battery, I can see no reason other than a few more dollars why you wouldn't go with the Ego Twist. The 1000mAh lasts me a whole day of heavy vaping at 4.2v, or approximately 5ml of ejuice. I don't like going back to my non VV Ego passthrough, it just doesn't taste as good or put out the same vapor.

Actually I never had enough money to afford buying proper fags and trying out brands - I got cheap tobacco (cutters choice, amber leaf) and was happy with that. I once went through a phase where I was so poor I used to sneak into my grandmother's lodger's kitchen so I could nick the ... butts from his ashtray and roll up with them .... and I would have only one wrinkley torn cigarette paper without gum and I would seal it with milk and smoke it and hate myself but kind of enjoy it at the same time....gross, huh?

    lol

I'm a care worker for old folks and we have this one resident who's a smoker, and ...., what an advertisement for not smoking, lungs like paper bags filled with swamp, rattliest cough I ever heard. Anyway. We have to dole out her cigarettes, she's only allowed 7 a day. She has dementia so she forgets that she just had one/just asked all the time. Anyhow. Yesterday she asked me for one, but I couldn't find a lighter or matches, so I had to light it on the gas stove in the kitchen. That cigarette was in my mouth for a measly second and I didn't even inhale, but the experience made me wanna barf, to borrow one of your yanky terms. I swear, as long as I have e-cigs and all the gorgeous flavours I will never smoke one of those vile things again.

Just waiting for the Riva now. It's getting tight - the last of my v2 carts are dying and my fave flavours are gone. Damn you, Royal Mail!

Incidentally, I tried that old lady smoker with an e-cig and she gave me a dirty look and asked for a real one. Doesn't know what she's missing, right?
