You know now you'll have to repaint the mod in a flat black to match the tank.
Yeah, that is the only drawback. The Mega's blackened stainless.
Spectrum Tanks uses colored glass and they make tubes for subtank mini's. I know OCD at IB Tanked talked about doing stuff for subtanks too because that film will come off eventually. I think FT had a pack of 3 or 4 of the grey's ranging from a very light shade to black-black, although that could have been the subtank bell caps I was looking at. I've used their replacement glass in various tanks for at least a year with no issues with them fitting.
Has anyone checked to see if the new rba or coil works well in the older sub tanks yet? I'm asking because with the introduction of new coils for dual coils, aerotank and even for a brief moment, the OCC coils, Kanger has stated there would be backwards compatability and real life said "nope, not gonna happen". Oops. Hopefully that's not the case this time.
Too bad there isn't a way to switch out those red buttons for the black ones on the white subox. I'm sure it could be done but would probably require gutting them and putting them back together again. I'm sure someone will be tempted to try it.
Don't tempt me I already talked myself out of putting the dremel to the battery case. I don't need another way to be tempted to break something.
On the plus side of my magnetic tape solution it now sticks to the top of beer bottles....
I think this would be a good match for the black sub as well

I have personally also ordered this but these reduce juice capacity but they are cool IMO

I've found my sweet spot, 6mg at 20 watts, middle air hole, 1.5 OCC Tootle puffer coil. I'll venture on to the .5 OCC and then the RBA. 18 mg was just all of a sudden to harsh in this tank, tried 12mg and still bitey. Maybe someday I'll be a cloud chuckin dripper, but not today. Love this tank and mod!

so i showed it off at the vape shop today, had to grab a tester bottle they had waiting for me. they all want on now LOL.
anyways finally powered it up and tested it
the juice i picked up is Resistance - One Shot Jill (fruity cereal) 3mg
40 watts and she's rocking, these new coils seem like they match up to an Arctic tank, or at least really close
it passed the chain vape test with this juice 1/3 of the tank in about 3-5 mins with no issues. but it does get pretty hot
i will agree with some of the reviews that the drip tip is a little on the short side but it's not terrible
i'm definitely liking this little kit more and more that i use it
little recap of my finding so far
finish looks amazing, but does seem to have potential to chip easy
drip tip feels nice, could be a little longer. fits tight on my tank
new OCC coils are so far up to par and working better than the original OCC coils
my battery door has a little play in it, but the magnets seem to be holding it on just fine, and i find the play to be acceptable
does have a tendence to get warmer then V1 MST

Well I didnt see that , mine is shipped so i guess they ran out of stock
wait do you drip ? The only way I can feel 6mg at 80/20 VG PG is to do a strong lung hit , unless I do that it is like air .
