Well after using my eGo One tank for the day I am really going to try to stop being so OCD about things and really try to make the Subtank work for me. I switched to the .5 ohm coil running around 25 watts and that gives me a little more what I am looking for in terms of a throat hit.

I do prefer the air control in relation to the draw on the eGo tank but the damn thing keeps leaking and pooling juice between the top of the atomizer head and the bottom of the chimney. This has happened on multiple tanks and heads. No matter what I do I cannot get tit to stop leaking from there.

As far as air flow control goes, I've opened it up as I've progressed in vaping. I used to be OK with Kangers Pro, Aero, and then original Subtank airflow. Slowly opening up the subtank to either full or medium. Now I run full open on the new Subtank.

Drip tips play a factor for me as well, wide bore obviously means more draw, so you may want a smaller bore tip coupled with less air flow.

From here it's drippers with giant openings or the newest Aspire tank which was WAY to open for me, have it away because I couldn't come to terms with it.

I'm not sure if this was talked about already and sorry if it was mentioned already.

Maybe it's just me or my big hands
The way the Kbox mini is designed is that the battery cover is rounded and it is basically the side of the mod. It also covers half the battery.
The only good picture I could find to show what I mean.
subox-mini-2.jpg

Now the way I hold mine is my that my thumb is on top, beside the tank. This puts the bottom of the mod, battery cover side, in the palm of my hand. I push the fire button with my index finger.
But in doing this I seem to push my thumb down which pushes the battery cover up, which also pushes the spring loaded battery up and resets the device :(

Now this is in NO way a game stopper for me, I really like my Kbox Mini.
But I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Battery on the short side? Battery diameter bigger than most? My cover used to slide up and down but would not contact the battery out cause it to move. I ended up putting 4 tiny drops of super glue on the battery door rails and letting it dry. My cover no longer moves side to side or up and down.

I'm still half tempted to grab one of these. I'm going to think it over a couple weeks. I want the black subtank mini so just debating paying a bit more for backup mod number....well I stopped counting! I found it for $60 free shipping. It'd be about $35 for the tank shipped, so $25 extra for a nice little mod. I don't care for fixed pins, but I'd imagine it is fine considering I only use subtanks anyway, and that's what it's designed for.

I'm thinking I understand what you are trying to say. Could be a manufacturing defect? There seem to be some documented inconsistencies in this thread concluding such. If so, perhaps it is a warranty issue that could be taken up with the vendor. Maybe post a photo. As the old adage goes, a picture is worth one thousand words...

Gotta get me that throat hit with the tight draw ;)

I check the drip tips that came with my eGo to see if they are any smaller. Thanks for the tip.

Is anyone having an issue with the paint chipping off on if their tank? I have only had mine for 4 days and the rim of the tank has two small chips in it. The worst part is that I have done nothing but baby it.

No chips on my white one yet. I have thrown it in my pocket with other stuff when leave the house. I haven't been that careful with it and it the finish has still held up.

Thank God for white out pens!!!!

Yeah man, mine is the black version and It shows silver underneath. Im just gonna use a black paint marker to fix it up a bit. I wish they just released an aluminum Stainless steal or whatever they use version.

Maybe I just have one that the paint didn't cure all the way.

I'm going to purchase a white out pen...I have a feeling I'm going to get some use out of it.

Dan, you realy do have shinyitis! You're living proof that you can't have too many mods. I figured you'd stop at the Evic VT 60. Guess not, neither am I !!! But I am going to wait for the Subox spring loaded 510, if and when it surfaces. Your wife is gonna kill you bro.

Lol just girlfriend, she doesn't even bother anymore! I'll probably hold off on this one though. I really like internal batteries. I want the green Cool Fire 4 if/when it releases. So that'll be my next. I've been working overtime on Saturdays, it covers all my vape spending lol. I took the girl out to dinner last night, just gotta do a few things here and there and it's all good!

I want a Cool Fire 4 with a replaceable battery. I like internal batteries too, but the FDA is about to rule, so I want to be prepared.

I've worn a little of the black coating from the inside vertical parts of the cage while screwing in and unscrewing the RBA, the knurling on the RBA is aggressive, and I'm butterfingers. I imagine if I were super careful it could be avoided, but what's done is done.

I have no idea--but if they ban everything that wasn't on the market in 2007 (as they are planning to do--read about the SE date in the deeming proposal), we'll be screwed... They can't ban Sony batteries, though.

Rep Tom Cole introduces bill (HR 2058) to change SE date from 2007 to 2015 for newly deemed products | E-Cigarette Forum
That's a lot of reading for right now. I could always just buy a cheap mod or 2 that uses removable batteries and stash them unopened though. It definitely wouldn't hurt.

We need to hype this mod a bit more, the evic thread is catching up.

So, moving forward, actual owners of the Subox kit, what would you change?

I'd personally like to see the price closer to preorder prices. Or include a safe battery at the new price point. This would only help Kangers in the long run by gaining more entry level customers who may stay brand loyal. ( it could also hurt them and retailers as fast as this market moves, make as much as possible as fast as possible before the next craze sets in).

I'd love to see the mod in stainless to match my older tanks and new generation stainless tanks. I'm not OCD by any means, but my old tanks look odd on the black Subox mini.

Other than that, I'm a satisfied man.
