Expected minor wear. I work construction and my box goes to work with me everyday and rides in the ruler pocket of my carpenter jeans. I also have minor wear inside the cage from from the rba cap serrations. I'm not disappointed at all, still works like a champ.

That would work visually (though unattractive), but I would also want to use it as a means of preserving battery life. :) No actual setting then?
Nope. I know we just had a few pages on battery life, but I'll add my:2c:. I use Sony batteries on a .5 coil at 30 watts and 3.8 volts. I go through one tank a day or less and my batteries still usually have 1/2 a charge when they go on the charger. I've also accidentally left the house with 1/2 charge and it lasted all day. I'm not a heavy vaper I guess, but quality batteries should give you good service.

Thank you, that is helpful. Sounds like we have similar vaping habits. As long as I get at least a day's worth out of each battery charge, I'll be happy. :)

This is a bit off topic, but I was wondering about charging batteries when they still have life on them.. Does that decrease the overall longevity of the battery, or shrink the battery's capacity? I don't really know anything about batteries, I just remember my older cell phones and being told you should always let them die before charging and then charge all the way, or else you shorten its lifespan. But I would prefer to just charge whenever I have the opportunity, dead battery or not, if it won't effect it.

Did you charge the battery inside or outside of the mod? How did the Subox mod declare "charge complete"? Were those words in the OLED?

Inside the mod of course. During charging the display was showing an animated "filling up" battery. Then the whole battery graphic flashed a few time, then it became steady, with all bars full and no animation.

The old school Ni batteries you had to drain first, but these Li types you don't. So yes, feel free to top them off whenever you wanna, and don't ever store them empty.

Yeah, as I mentioned, my Xtar hits at 4.2 on the nose. I'm kinda ocd that way and would rather not flirt with sacrificing batt charge cycle life. But, in a pinch...

*measured with Mooshimeter
My Xtar will shut off charging when it hits 4.19 or 4.2. It varies from battery to battery.

How's the loading mechanism on the Xtar? My Nitecore's driving me nuts! :-x Wonky rails for the springs, so hard to get '650s in.
Works fine. The negative terminal is spring loaded so it works with shorter batteries. On the VP4 (the 4 battery charger), only the outer slots are wide enough to fit 26650's. The spring is very smooth and puts enough pressure to ensure a solid connection, but not too stiff where it is difficult to fit the battery in.

I really like the features on my WP2H. 3 different mAh charge settings. 250, 500, and 1000. I prefer 250 to eek out longest charge cycle life. Also, it has 3 voltage settings for different batt compounds. 3.2, 3.6, and 3.8. I use 3.6 (4.2 cutoff) for vape and 3.8 (4.35) for my flashlight 18650's designed for that voltage. Evidently, it also has a "bring back from the dead" feature I've fortunately never had to use. All for 25.00 including a 12v car adapter. I can imagine the spring being a bit stiff for some folks, though.

Haha! No, I pulled the ol' switcheroo...

Fantastic! I thought the white/black 'stormtrooper' color scheme was best until I saw your blacked-out version. As an owner of both kits this is seriously tempting...

Kanger should introduce all black and SS (stainless steel) versions for V 2.
