Right, I was never interested in one of those to begin with and since its still new any and I mean ANY mod claiming to have temp mode I wouldn't bat an eye without knowing who made the chip inside.

So we're just a couple of hours away, China time, from what's allegedly going to be Mini VF Day - well, at least for you lucky people who a) ordered the black b) ordered in time for the first batch.
Do update us if you get shipping notifications! I'm sure you would have anyway
Meanwhile my FT estimate is resolutely staying at 25th May, so I'm losing hope that is a place-holder. Either the colours are coming two weeks after the black, or else I'm in batch two. I'm hoping the former because that doesn't make it my fault for being a knob and not ordering quickly even though I was sure I was going to get it!

I recently emailed them about stocking and shipping early today but since it's the weekend they won't be responding. But I do get up real early for work and my responses are always there when I do wake up, so we will see!
Ah sweet Doris from Focalecig just got back to me. Email stated looking at getting their first finished products in before wednesday but still waiting on an update from kangxin. Focalecig is also sporting complete pictures as well now as she pointed out, gold version I had seen so far.
Ah aught to point this out due to the new pics posted up on focalecig. Looks like they took out the brass 510 connector in favor of a SS that also apparently sits flush. As well the flashlight feature has a lens covering it as well. Data sheet and info still states incorrect information about the 510 as listed as brass fyi.
Ahh I see it now - they haven't updated all the colours. Black and green are unchanged, but I see the new pics you describe on the Gold. The 510 looks much better, but I'm not sure what I think of that bobble over the flashlight. I guess it's important protection, but looks a bit crap. And actually, I'm not even sure how good it is for protection - seems like something that's going to break right off for the first time the mod is dropped at an angle in that area. A flush, or nearly flush lens (like on a cell phone) would surely be much better.
But I suppose it's cheap so we can't expect too much.
I had another worrying thought the other day - how is the flash light actually activated? There's no dedicated button, because apparently in mod development it is TREASON and HERESY to even consider having more than the standard three buttons. There will be mods with 47 different functions soon, and they will still only ever have three buttons. We'll be tapping out instructions in morse code to enable things.
Anyway, I really hope it's nice and easy to turn the flash light on. Not, for example: lock the mod, hold down three buttons for five seconds to enable flashlight, hold two more buttons for three seconds to change flashlight mode, then tap two more buttons to turn it off, then unlock it again with five more clicks to use it as a mod again. But I bet it will be something like that. Pfft.
I really don't care for the flashlight feature, wish they left it off altogether, but as long as doesn't light up every time you vape then be fine, if does turn on every time you vape, then be some duct tape over that sucker

Yeah I can understand, but for me it's a major feature
Tonight alone I've been under my desk four times using my cell phone as a flash light to pick up little screws.Will be so much better to grab a mod that will almost certainly already be at hand, has a much bigger battery, is already flashlight-shaped, and is (hopefully) quick and easy to get into flashlight mode - as opposed to finding my cell phone, going to home screen, tapping flashlight app, tapping to start it, remembering to then turn the display off such that I don't accidentally brush the screen while using it and turn it off again, then remembering to turn it off so I don't drain my battery to nothing. And all that assuming that my cell isn't already nearly drained.
That's why I'm hoping it will be quick and easy to use. I mean, I'm sure it's not going to be terrible - even if it is the steps I described, that will only take 20 seconds. Just annoys me it has to be convoluted.
But that will mean that it's fine for people like you who never want it activated accidentally - I'm sure it won't; quite the opposite
The review explains how to activate the light feature and the guy they've R&Ding with suggested the change to SS and protective lens. He also did state the flashlight function was a bit of a hassle to get on/off and what to press.

Oh I'm sure for some it will be a real useful feature, and if it was a mod I would use at work, then sure it would come in handy for me too, but this one will be at home mod, but agree I use the flashlight on my phone quite often.
I'm sure it will be pretty straight forward to turn on and off, something like pushing 2 buttons at the same time.

And actually it's not so bad. Hold two buttons for "3 or 4 seconds" he says. That's as good as it could be. At least you don't have to lock it first and then again to unlock at the end.

Looks like today is D-day for the release of this particular mod. Looking up on focalecigs site the preorder disclaimer has now been removed and replaced with estimated shipping dates upon order. Mine is still under "Collecting items now" for going on quite awhile so hopefully things might be getting the ball rolling as early as today.

Looks like I may well have made a mistake in going to FT. Perhaps Focal are Kangxin's preferred retailer, or at least they struck the deal with them much sooner than FT and are giving them priority. And probably ditto 3F, who still show it as pre-order as well.
Eh not really putting much stock in whats going thats for sure but its always good to stay positive. Honestly what else I have on order that I put in recently is whats my minds on so if this doesn't ship soon its a meh.Good luck, hope you get it soon!

Since the green no longer lists pre-order but says 2-7 days I figured it was safe to email Focalecig and see what's up with the shipping status - hopefully they don't pull a VapeNW and tell me it will ship when they receive them!

Haha right! I'm not entirely holding too much hope but it looks like other sites might of had their shipments in as well, well Angelcigs for the most part if ordered via China warehouse.
Also looks like "Robby" the reviewer whom Kangxin apparently has been doing some consultation work with has posted some more pics of the internals and a working model, also alongside a heatvader for size comparison as well.

I opened a ticket with FastTech on my order. I asked when it would be available, and explained that Focal eCig had removed the pre-order sign so I was thinking of cancelling my FT order and ordering from Focal instea.
The response was vague and not very encouraging.

Most likely I chose the Grey color awhile back and still have yet to be shipped
