Hey guys. So I'm very new to having an apv and I love my svd. Currently I'm using efest imr 18650 batteries and charging them on a trustfire multifunctional charger. But for some reason the batteries charged great for the first 2 days and now of the 2 that I have neither one will show a charge above 3.7 when I check them on my device. Anyone have an idea these batteries are less than 1 week old. I forgot to mention originally my dog knocked over my charger and kicked one of the batteries out. Just had started recharging it. That was only 1 battery though so would it cause an issue with both batteries? I remember batteries use to need to be trained if that's the case here is there a way for me to retrain these ones.

Might be the charger?

Maybe some of the more experienced members can comment, but I'm wondering if they might be low quality counterfeits?

It's possible though I did buy them from a brick and mortar so I would be interested to find that out maybe there are some tells I can look for. I just drained the battery to the point that my svd cut off and said low so maybe that will help. I wish I had a flashlight or something to drain it a little more effectively.

To cut down on battery consumption, I recommend using a USB passthrough like this one.
Make sure it is the correct adapter fitting and voltage for your cartomizers before buying.
With this goodie you can vape off USB power whenever you are at home by your computer.
This lets your batteries re-charge while you are at home so they are full for when you go mobile.

Oh no these guys are jerks lol. This is oklahoma lol. One of my friends is working there mostly to get intel so he can open his own b&m. I mean their high end apv is either a tesla or a svd both 70$ for the body. And he started there to help them and every single time he makes a suggestion they tell him no and to shutup.

A very strong possibility it's the Tr-001. I've had 2 of them fail soon after I purchased them. Better chargers are:
Efest Luc charger
Pila
Xtar WP2
Nitecore Intelligent i2
If your PV was bought as a kit realize some Vendors will include one or two pieces that are low end. I would contact the Vendor and ask if a deal can be made with a better charger even if you have to pay an extra $10.00.
With my TR-001's one would only charg VERY slowly and not to 4.2 volts while the other would keep charging even after hitting 4.2 volts. Bottom line I would never buy anything battery related with the word "Fire" in it.
As for your Efests as long as they're not knockoffs they are a good battery.

Check the link below, some Trustfires have a switch on the side, if it is set to 3.0 volts, you will never get beyond 3.7 volt charge.

"Charges 3.0V and 3.6V batteries: Some versions of this charger have a manual "battery voltage selector" switch located on the side of the charger. If you are charging 3.6V and have the charger set to 3.0V, the batteries will never fully charge. The batteries sold at myvaporstore are all 3.6V."

Source. TrustFire Multifunctional Charger

Hope this helps. If not then your charger is probably a fail.

I honestly just grabbed the trustfire to hold me over because my batteries and device arrived before anything else and i was being impatient. I am definitely looking into grabbing a nitecore i2. thank you all so much for the information. Anyways, a little more about myself. I am currently vaping on an SVD i love it. Bouncing between a protank 2 and an iClear30. Using ECB 50/50 fluids. I love glass especially since i love my cinnamon. Looking for a good clove blend, like a djarum. Tried the kretek blend from EC was disgusting IMO. I couldnt resist trying out an RBA and i went ahead and started watching pbusardo's videos. Saw his Taifun review... I loved the design and looked amazing. Well then i saw the price... i died a little inside. But i started reading more and more saw the "fogger clone" started looking for it. THEN I SAW THE V2. I couldnt help myself ordered it right away. Now i am just playing the waiting game. Any advice you want to throw in my direction will be remembered and cataloged away in my brain. I know i want to try several builds. I think ill start with a mesh coil build around 2 ohms. But thats for the future. And its a little more about me. I am very excited to start using this forum to a greater extent. Thanks for being so helpful

Great and I fully understand and empathize with the feeling of impatience :D
With my TR-001 charging a 2250 mah battery took about 7-8 hrs. With the Nitecore i2 it takes about 3-4 hours.

Trustfire hasn't been bad to me, I have the TR-001, it is a backup now to my nitecore i4. But in all honesty I can say the Trustfire has performed perfectly for what it is, it would also make a good travel charger due to its smaller size. I like the glass stuff too, it sounds like you are well on your way. Welcome to ECF. Lots of great people here.

Sounds like you've done your homework and are having fun  I own a Vamo 2 and Vamo 3. I was torn about getting an SVD but decided on another Vamo.
In regards to the higher priced RBA's there are usually clones available- some very good clones and others not so good. Research and read reviews here at ECF. Now that you have over 5 posts you can post outside the New Members Forum. Here's a GREAT website for sales:
VaporJoes.com - Deals on Vaping Goods
Best of Luck and I won't tell you to have fun cuz I know you're already there :D
