I use 80PG/20VG liquids. I've put in a new 2.2 coil in again. Filled the liquid. Waited 15 minutes. Prime puffed it and saw the bubbles. Started at 6w...ok. Then to 6.5w prime puffed it again...ok. Then to 7w prime puffed it...ok. Then after a few puffs....burnt taste again. Back to 6w still burnt taste. Switched to 3.4v it's ok. But not strong enough. Aaaaghhhh :(

Those are the issues that drove me away from the coils. I had good luck them early in the summer but something changed along the way and I found the Kanger coils less reliable. I even got what I suspect were fakes from one vendor. Terrible experience with those. The orings were a bit different and the circle kanger logo was inline with the Kangertech name instead of above it.

Your issue is not getting enough liquid to the coil. Poking at the hole a bit should help. Too much and they will flood though. closing off some of the airflow while puffing may help. I would also try coils from a different vendor.

For some reason my Areotank mini feed the liquid much better then the emow. Same 1.5 coils with 50/50 liquid. With my VV device I couldn't go higher 4V for multiple puffs. That's about 10.5 Watts with my 1.5 coils.

Hope you get it figured out.

Can you get your hands on a 5-pack of new coils (1.5 or 1.8 Ohm) and a liquid of 50/50? Just to try it out. Maybe an Aerotank Mini, if you want to stick with the coils, too? The Aerotank V2 would be wider than the itaste, it's 19mm.
EVOD 2s are assumed simple yet good quality tanks, at least the EVOD Glass tanks.
80 PG is a very "liquidy" liquid, and I don't have any experience with that.
You said, everything is OK on your eGo. An eGo generally fires at 3.3-3.4V. On a 2.2 Ohm coil that would be around 5.2W (which is ..not much). The same on the itaste is not that strong? Do you get the same amount of vapour?
I think, it's the coils... Or the itaste is faulty...

I only have Evod, Evod2, PT3 mini and T3S tanks. I also only have 1.8 ohms (they fit in the PT3 and EVOD2) and the 2.2 ohms that are for the MT3S/T3S.
When I said that it's ok on my Innokin Itaste that was regarding the 6w when I first try it with a new coil. After a few long puffs it gets burnt. Changing it to 3.4v is indeed the same as using it on my EGO. I have also refreshed a new coil in the EVOD1 which reads 2.2 Ohm. Similiar problem as with the T3S coils. Even though they are different coils.

Hey Alex. Sorry to hear about the problems. It's very odd to me because I run protank2's on my mvp. I've got a 2ohm coil in there right now and I'm pushing the wattage up to see when I get burnt hits to see if it was similar. And I've gotten to 8.5W and the throat hit is getting gnarly but no burning. I know you said you've tried different juices, are they all the 80%PG? That stuff is so thin that you may be burning it off before it has a chance to soak the wick again. If it wasn't so late I'd go put some of my 80%PG in one to see for you. It's so thin though that I mostly just use that stuff to add some orange flavor to other, thicker fruit juices. My only advice is to try some thicker juice. I prefer 50/50 myself, but I've had no problems with 70%PG even. That 10% bump in VG makes a big difference. Sorry, it's been a really long time since I used 80%PG juice by itself so I don't really recall how often it tasted burnt. Only other thing I can think of is do a few primer puffs when you've just refilled the tank even if it's been sitting for 15 minutes. Just a few gentle inhales without firing the coil.

And the Protank3 will drain the juice faster because it's a dual coil. Two coils means twice the juice getting vaporized at a time. I've got two EMOW's that use the same coils and they don't last very long even though they're the mega sized ones.

Oh and when I do have trouble with burning taste, which happens when you've run a bunch of tanks worth of juice through a coil without cleaning it, I usually just flip it over to VV mode and lock it in at 3.7V. That's kind of a magic number and it's what the plain little batteries that come with the evod starter kits put out.

I always buy them from Fasttech. Most Hangsen juices there are 80/20. I have one RY4 which is 70/30 and it tastes also burnt at higher watts.
I don't have 50/50 juices here so I can't test it. I always do primer puffs even after increasing the wattage 0.5 at a time. Indeed switching to Volts does work. But I can't go higher then 3.5v. Which is too soft for my taste. It's driving me insane.

So I just tried a Mini Protank 3 with a 1.5 upgraded coil un a vv/vw mod with an eGo-510 adapter. Juice 50/50. The ohms jumped 1.6-1.7, probably because of the crappy adapter. I went as high as 12w, that was too warm for the coil. Around 10-11w was ok.
Yes it is a small capacity tank and drains quickly.
I switched over to Nautilus Minis and BV Silo with BVCs some time ago and have rebuildable tank atomiser in the mail.
But back to your problem - try to do what I said. If possible, upgrade your setup and you might find yourself a happy vaper again.

Me and Alex meant the Mini Protank 3.
