Hey everyone. This is my first post and I desperately need some guidance!! I've been looking into the vaping world and have decided I want to get an e cig so I can quick smoking regular cigarettes. Ive been smoking nearly 10 years and it's killing my health and it's time to stop! I bought a cheap ... Nicstick but hated it. I decided to buy a Blu disposable and it wasn't bad, I just never knew when I was going to get a lot of vapor. I haven't bought any kits yet because I don't know what to buy!!! I was looking at the Blu kit and v2 kit because reviews all over the web list them as the best. I really like the PCC Blu offers and my experience with their disposable has been a favorable one. Well I found my way to this website and it seems like Blu and v2 have caught a pretty bad rap. I'm so frustrated trying to decide what brand ecig kit to buy! I just want someone to tell me which is the best and I'll go ahead and order it, but I've been so reluctant to make a purchase because I don't really know what I'm doing! I'm also afraid I'll end up buying something and won't like it which means I'll ultimately go back to regular cigarettes and I really REALLY want to quit smoking those! This is not a cheap investment for me and I really want it to work. PLEASE help! Thanks!

It really depends on the person but in my opinion the stingray 360 kit over at gotvapes.com is a good no hassle starter kit. it is automatic, small enough to still resemble an actual cig and the battery life is really good for a cigarette sized pv. I have a mod for when im at home but that is the kit i use at work. It works great and gotvapes stand behind their products.

If you want something that looks like a cig I recommend Smokeless Images's Volt or Vapor4Life. These however have short battery lives and you will have to use KR808 cartos specifically designed for this kind of device forever. You will have to buy at least two batteries and they will be in constant charging rotation so 3 or more is better. If you're ok with something a little bigger that has better battery life and has more options as far as cartomizers due to its more common 510 threading I suggest the E-Power kit from Crystal Clear Vaping. He has a kit there that has everything you'd need to get going. If you want super cheap get a 3.7 box mod at Maximum Vapors and get your cartomizers at CCV. Juice you can get from juice vendors. It will take you awhile to figure out which juice you like best. Check the coupon code master list on this site for a coupon no matter what you decide to buy. Welcome to ECF.

Dark City Vapour has a nice 808D-1 Kit on special (read the disclaimer on charging). Bought one for my wife and the price is hard to ignore.
That's if you want something small like a normal cigarette.
My advise however would be to go for a 510 system with a battery mod (works out cheaper in the long run) and you can go longer between charges.
That said - the first kit I mentioned has the benefit of the PCC giving you portable charging option so you won't need to sit waiting for a fresh battery to get your fix.

Your first kit is never your last e-cig kit. The fewer cigarettes you buy the more you will save up to get what truly makes you happy as an e-cig. So don't sweat it and get something reasonable and don't waste money on the overpriced branded stuff (Blu V2cigs, etc)_. You can get two to three really nice kits with juice for what theirs cost.
There are about 8 threads going right now asking the same question. Read the InfoPages stuff in the link at the top left and ready some of the other threads suggestions.
Welcome to the forum. Just get vaping, it's a process and don't worry you'll find your way because you are motivated. Lots of e-cig stuff way better than the Blu. You'll be a happy camper.

I got a smokestik for my first pv, i was told it was too expensive, get this and get that, i don't regret it because it was like my training device, it got me off the analogs and i broke even money wise after about 2 weeks. I have since upgraded and i still crack out the smokestik when i have to run around town etc.
The ego. Riva. Kgo. Or epower systems are all kits that are noob friendly and durable. If you go with cartomizer instead of atomizer you will find the whole experience more satisfying.

I recommend that you go to E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings and look at some of their starter kits. In particular, Joye 510, Joye Ego, or Riva 510. All excellent kits with everything you need to get started except the nic juice. Very reasonably priced- in the $30 to $50 range. Shipping is also very reasonable.
While you are there, get a few small bottles of juice, different flavors. 18mg is usually a good starting point. You can go up or down from there, but that is about the middle.
Important to click on the 20% discount button at the top of the web page before you cart your stuff. Be aware that some of the kits there do not include a wall charger, just the USB charger. Those without are clearly stated on the item description.

WElcome to the ECF community SynnTx! It may help for you to read the "stickys" above the new members forum. There is good informaion there concerning what might be a good starting point. Whatever you decide to buy, give it a chance. Ask quiestions and learn to use your new best friend. Vaping is not like smoking. Yes, it can give you the same satisfaction but there is a different learning curve. Once you begin vaping, drink plenty of water. Vaping can dehydrate you and make the experience very unpleasent. I did what I thought was a lot of research before I bought my unit, and then I found this forum! I bought the biggest V2 starter kit and I'm very happy with it. It comes with lots of extras, the battery life seems really good to me, though I have nothing to compare them to. With the big kit, you get to order a bunch of carts,, and I ordered the Reds since I was a marb smoker, but I'm finding I really like the flavors,, vanilla and chocolate especially. This forum has TONS of good info and some really great people. I love my V2, just my opinion. It's been a week today since I've had an analog and I truly do not miss them! Good luck to you!
If you really want to quit and stay quit, then remember this:
Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.
The suggestions of an E-Power 510 or a Riva 510 are very good beginner models. Only get manual batteries (small button) for better control and safer performance. Get some blank cartomizers and eliquid around 24mg nicotine strength.

I like what poster #6 said and hit the like button.
With that being said what worked for me was the cheap cig look alike but the batts kept dying and i quickly bought an ego kit for the wife and i.
That was and still is very satisfying with an all day lasting 1000mah battery, i have since moved on to a mod but still vape with the ego as well.

I would def go with a bigger battery PV like the E-Power, kGo, or Riva. Those will be more satisfying than a slim ecig, but I do understand if you want it to look like a cig at first. You prob would want something with longer battery life after youve been vaping for awhile though and thats why I always recommend the Riva.kGo. and E-power. They will give you alot more and most likely you wont feel the need to upgrade as quickly. I use an E-Power and love it. Ive completely got off cigs with it and dont feel I need a better kit. It gives great hits and alot of vapor and is easy to use.

And everything is replaceable on the E-Power so in the long run its cheaper to maintain the E-Power bc you can buy replacement parts and the batteries are cheap. With the proprietary battery PVs, if you need a new switch or battery, you have to replace the whole unit, so thats what made me lean toward the E-Power since Im on a budget.

I have friends that have Rivas and kGos and love them. I only have the E-Power, but have used all three and like them. So I really think youd enjoy the Riva, E-Power, or kGo.

Is it bett er to have a 2 piece or 3 piece? I think I'd feel much more comfortable with a 2 piece. I was looking at what was mentioned here, and I think I may like the Ego-t 900mAh. But I believe it's 3 piece? Please provide more guidance and thank you very much to those who have posted! With all these different brands and types and what not I get frustrated and overwhelmed trying to make a decision!

The eGo-T has a tank. The tanks can be really finicky and leak alot. They dull flavors and TH too. It was a good concept but was poorly executed. If you want an eGo I would just get a regular one and use cartos. Most people that get the eGo-T end up just using cartos neway bc the tanks suck.

agreed. cartos much easier better vaper , better throathit and very noobie friendly. if you get a bigger battery 650mah and up go with the LR cartos from boge, you wont be dissapointed.
i would stay away from the ego-t system. some people have luck with them working properly most people dont. however the ego batteries are awesome. so order just two ego batteries and few packs of the boge lr 20.ohm cartos and some juice, then you are good to go. enjoy.

I would go with an ego t ...some don't agree but I have had allot of luck with those attys and now use them on a provari...if you think ahead whatever you start with will not be your last but needs to be something that keeps you satisfied and those batterys are great for all types of attys you may use down the line...
