I'll let you know dude. I'm currently vaping 100% VG --Boba's Bounty-- in it now. It worked perfectly at half full, but for experimentation sakes, I filled it up to just below the 5ml mark.. I got dry hits and muted flavor like you said. It could be a duddy head... It sounds like a lot of people are getting that with the heads provided straight out of the box. So, I'll also give it a go with a new replacement head. I'll let you know when I figure this sucker out. I'm glad that 50% full trick worked out for you.

Right now though, the replacement head is wicking and vaping really well at the 5ml mark with 100% vg. I've not chain vaped though... That happens at night. My only concern right now though is even though I'm getting massive flavor and vapor, I see that the little bubbles are stuck on the rubber seal instead of floating to the top. It may not be a big issues, but as I said I'll let you know.

Definitely a wicking issue and most likely caused by an improper seal and pressure differential across the coil. Because the coil appears to not be rebuildable, this could be a problem with thicker juices. In theory, the ability to adjust the air flow should allow one to change the pressure differential seal at the coil, but something in the design may not allow the thicker juices to correct this problem. The reason the tank half full can work is due to the pressure in the tank, which changes as the tank has more or less liquid. Bernoulli's Principle. State O'Flux has a nice tutorial on this fluid dynamics law and how it works in tanks. My favorite post last year:

His tutorial on vapor production mechanics is also useful:

Anyway, no flavor is because of inadequate vaporization. Inadequate vaporization is due to improper wicking, heating, air flow, surface area, and/or PG/VG ratio. One would think with adjustable air flow, that many of these problems could be solved. I think it's most likely either bad coils and/or wrong juice viscosity. Thinner juice is going to work better on a device that won't wick properly, for whatever reason. Add water or alcohol, or a higher PG ratio, and you may remedy the problem. Sure wish we could rebuild these coils. These problems would be easy to correct with a proper build, and they can be tailored to work with any viscosity. Good luck.

After a couple of days what are your thoughts on your new Nautilus ??

I like it, coming from a kanger mpt2 and having 40 coils for it, I am only having a hard time with having 2 coils and making a commitment to 2-4 ml of juice at a time. I see myself buying a 5 pack and then making my own as I as I see the coil itself is already pretty grungy even after rinse, vodka soak and drying. Vapor is huge on it and apparently gets bigger if I make ur own micro single coils like in the vid.

Kanger mpt2, Aspire Nautilus, burn with iTaste MVP2 and some Evod vv's. I prefer darker heavy flavors.

I'm having the same wicking issues and not at all happy. I'm going to try and use a pin on 2 of the 4 holes on the head to allow for more juice in the coil head. I'll let ya"ll know how it goes.

So I tried this, then the same process on all 4 holes, complete fail. I might just be done with this thing. Thankfully I have a Kayfun on the way and wont have to deal with this garbage any longer.

Having the same issues here too with each head. I followed the instructions and the first hit was fine but I have to puff before every single drag to avoid burning juice. I'm vaping a 50/50 mix of PG/VG and not going above 4.5v.

I have two Rockets I bought from China for about $12 each and they give me no problems at all. My AGA-T2s give no problems either and they cost less than this thing.

I've seen so many good reviews so I bought one. I hope there is a fix for this because I don't want to spend a lot of money on heads that have this same problem like I did with the Protank 3.

I've had my aspire nautilus for a week now. After some getting used to the different style, I've finally learned the quirks (which are far less than any other clearo that I've used). I love this tank and plan to propose marriage to it soon. I'm hooked and think this is the tank for me. It's a bit huge, but whatever, minor detail compared to the frustration of dealing with my other tanks.

Provari mini,aspire nautilus,50/50 PG/VG juice
