Bruce,

Being in the US I don't think I'll be much help to you but there are many other members here who are in the UK and can give you some info. If you look through the forum you'll find loads of info on what is needed, good devices, etc. Take some time to research here and get more information on the e-cig. I'm guessing you'll find that they are much less expensive online from reputable sellers than they are from your local pharmacy.

Hi Bruce, welcome to the forum.

I'll mention a couple of things to try to save you a bit of time.

The most preferred devices by forum members are the DSE901 mini and the Janty Kissbox Classic.

It's better to get eliquid in a flavour you like to refill cartridges instead of replacing them.

Devices are unreliable, parts break frequently. Make sure you are budgeting for spares, especially if you are going to try to stop smoking.

This is a good thread for newbie tips - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/2562-helpful-links-videos-new-user.html

Hope that helps. Good luck with it, let us know how it goes.

I saw that earlier Kate and fully agree. I love posting on here each new experience with my e-cig in the hopes that it will encourage others to switch to them. My hubby has officially gone to e-cig only and my best friend ordered one as well and is down from 1 -1 1/2 packs a day to about 5 regular cigs a day. I'm singing the e-cig's praises everywhere I go (and of course discussing the drawbacks and issues as well) and hoping that more people turn to these to experience what I have. Like anything new, it has some wrinkles that need to be worked out but all in all, it's well worth any hassle for me. The fact that I can laugh without it ending in a coughing fit and that I can wake up able to breathe easily is just amazing to me and makes it all worth it.

Hi Bruce, welcome, there's nothing I can add to the good advice Kate has given, she's a lot more experienced than I am ( don't let the halo fool you ! ), I myself use a 901 during the day at work, and when I'm out. In the evening I've just started using a Janty Kissbox, mostly because I smoke more in the evening anyway and I can use it through a usb cable direct, it saves batteries :thumb:
