I was all excited about E-Cigarettes.
Would be better for me and in time I might be able to quit or at least cut down.
I bought a Blu starter kit and am not happy with it.
The kit was around $45.
Do not see how there is any savings with them and the battery needs frequent charging.
Can anyone please recommend a kit they've been happy with?

Welcome to ECF!! You'll find that there is upfront costs to finding a kit that is going to work well for you and your preferences. Do plenty of reading so you can keep that upfront to a minimum. Once you're set, supposedly there is savings, so long as you don't keep buying more shinies

I've gotten to steering people this way: Spinner/Twist Combo. It's the kind of kit I ended up with after trial and error. And I started with a Blu myself. I know what you mean about no savings and the batteries driving you crazy. Yikes!

First off welcome and congrats on taking the first step to becoming better informed about e-cigarettes and vaping (we are not smokers no smoke, just vaper, we are vapers)

now onto the nitty-gritty, keeping in mind that vaping is a personal choice and what you pick is something (hopefully) you will be using all the time and for a while

Please give us more information of what you are wanting and we can help point you more to something to fit your own needs.

Are you wanting something that is like a cigarette (like the blu but better) or are you willing to step out of your comfort zone a bit and go for something that works better but looks nothing like a cigarette?

I started with 1 NJoy and then got a blu kit, while the blu kit worked alright for me there were it's flaws. I know a lot of people have issues with the battery but then that will be an issue really with any cig-a-like (anything that looks like a cig) and for me when I took a puff off of it it was too airy so I had to keep putting tape around the connection covering all but one of the air vent holes to get a good drag.

If you are willing to step away from the look-a-likes in my experience and from most what I've read I'd suggest a spinner, it's about the size of a highlighter.
I would suggest a 1300 mAh variable voltage spinner. The higher the mAh, the longer the battery lasts and variable voltage means you can change the voltage output to better suit your taste, different juices and different juice delivery systems (cartomizers, tanks, ect) taste better at different voltages.

I'd also recommend going with an eGo type battery. I started off with a 1000mAh eGo-C Twist and aside from having to charge the darned things too often (I chain vaped the bejeebers out of 'em! ), they were an excellent starter battery. Worked very well with the Vivi Nova, MT3 and Protanks.

Kanger eVod Kit - Blue

Although there is merit in all the above mentioned suggestions, This is the one I would probably suggest to a beginer also. If you had a friend thats been vaping a while to show you a few things/fix/adjust, I would probably suggest the Kits from Fasttech ( thats the 10 -12 day wait post above. The problem with fasttech is that many of their products like the one posted above are sometimes hit or miss. In other words, their products ( at least the ones he posted) are knock offs and cheaply made and while I have ordered many of the same items and am currently using them, you will get some bad stuff from them and I worry that you wil get a "bad tank" and just give up. Batteries from Fasttech can be bad too. So, if you order from there, get a couple of EVOD tanks also and maybe an extra battery or two along with the kit.

The MVP one poster mentioned is Fantastic. I have one. Its a tad heavy and its boxy. You may want to get that and get an Kanger evod tank or a Kanger Protank and a couple extra lower ohm coils, maybe the 1.8 heads/coil assy. Discount Vapers is a good place to look around at as is Myvaporstore.

Go to a true Vape stor if there is one around you and spend an hour or two there..they will let you try things out including diff juices if they are any good store at all.

This forum will give you the most info though..... we all have our opinions and many are different. One thing we all agree on is that those Blue cigs are absolute crap and we all want you to get to the point where you enjoy it as much as we do.

It wasn't a total recall for all Evod batteries. Only certain models that were sold by Heaven Gifts during a certain period. Electronic Cigarette,kanger,E-Cigarette,E-Cigs,quit smoking,Health Cigarette

Iam new as well. Iam very happy with the evod tank. It will work with any ego type battery. What size battery depends a lot on how much you vape. My 650aMh will last me all day while working but my not last long enough for others that vape a lot. Once I get home I use my new x6 and charge my ego for the next day. The x6 is a 1350aMh battery. Cost about $20 at myfreedomsmokes.com.

OK, the way I read the recall notice was that the Heaven Gifts batteries were bad, so they were recalling all EVOD batts. I could be wrong.

E twist and a spinner are about the same thing...... I agree with this post also. I dont use Evods tanks, but many on these forums love them. I prefer a Protank as stated above. Look into the Mini Protank and that should go really well with those spinners, e twis or regular ego battery.

The juice you choose will be the game changer for you. You will get hundreds of suggestions. Again, if you can find a real vape shop, go ther and spend some time and try their juices free until you smoke one that you may like

Sucker would last me maybe 6 hours at best. So yeah, I had one on the charger while I was doing my best to drain the other.

I'm using 2000mAh Efests in my Vamo and they last a day. I'm happy with that. All I need to do now is start up my DIY operation for juice. I'm still spending WAY too much each month on juices.
