Hi there,

Just registered, new member from Romania here :)
Have a Provari P3 satin silver with a Nautilus tank on it.
My question relates to battery life and IQ variation on the P3. Tried 4 batteries: 2 IMR 18650, one Sony VTC4, one Panasonic 18650, all show at full charge IQ of 82-86, and after vaping for 1-2 hrs the IQ decreases, ending always in ""poor" at around 35. Tried different Nautilus atomizers, changed coils (1.6, 1.8), behaviour is still the same.
Cleaned P3 threads with alcohol, no change.
Is this something people experience, the IQ degradation over the life of one full battery charge?.
The only things still to try is changing the charger (Xtar VP1) or applying some Noalox on the threads...

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

What is the IQ? How is it related to volts? Is there a conversion?

IQ is provari way of checking the internal resistance. its like engine light in the car. :)

Welcome to ECF, make yourself right at home :)
Don't quote me on this but I've heard you need brand new batteries for those P3's, don't know if yours are new or not

not really.. i have been using an old battery. tried it with new battery... same result.

OP: welcome to ECF. there is a thread on P3. the current suggestion with the IQ issue is to get no-ox and put them on the threads. I ordered it and it should come in today.

my observance.. if i use 18500 battery.. i get a higher IQ. which tells me it has something to do with the threads on the extensions. :/

here's the link to the the official P3 thread.

Very strange...I've put Noalox on all threads and it surely improves IQ when battery is first inserted, no matter the charge lvl of the battery.
I had 95 with the VTC4 and 90 with IMR's. But after vaping several puffs, IQ starts to drop. Less on the VTC4 (that had the best IQ when first inserted) and more on the Panasonics and IMRs.
The qualit of puffs is very good and no degradation in time is bserved until battery completely dpleted, but the IQ still varies.
