I agree with that it was probably the pico just wasn't really hitting it's power mark/settings

or the drag ramps up faster so you notice it better

I can't really use my capo because it tries to way overpower itself and the first press of the fire button even though it's set to 25w is more like 50w

In contrast to the Capo Squonk that lacks one, the Capos in general (or at least a few production runs) have a malfunctioning boost circuit that applies way, and I mean WAY too much voltage from time to time. Although it works fine in TC mode because it supersedes the calculated wattage/voltage you set, it's perhaps better to get rid of that little piece of junk.
First of all the resistance reading of the device is off, which causes it to produce a rather weak vape in TC, unless you lock in the resistance when the coil is warm.
But more important is the fact that holding a high powered device with malfunctioning circuitry next to one's face isn't the smartest idea in the first place imho.

I also dont think it has to do with the fact that the wattage level is different, its just the ramp up time that is faster.

If the wattage level applied to the coil is higher than what the screen reads, it actually will make it ramp up faster than if the wattage is accurate to what the screen reads.

I've been looking for my 510 digital voltage meter lately. It's around here somewhere. It's a clear polycarbonate cylinder with 510 male/female connections on the ends. Screw it on the mod, fire it, and the voltage appears on the display inside. It's a good tester for voltage accuracy on a mod with or without a 510 atty load.

I am going to agree with you that different mods do make a difference in the way a juice taste. I know I will probably get 'flamed' for this, but I too noticed a difference between mods several years back. I don't have a scientific explanation for this but its not in your head. Just like some mods hit harder than others and can make a huge difference in the way juice taste even in the same tank with the same coils. I now test several of my ejuice mixes on different mods to see which ones deliver a better taste for that juice. I always thought that maybe the PWR had something to do with the difference in the way mods fired. And for me I found that of all the mods I own, Geek Vape has the better hit and do stand out from different mods. That is not to say I don't enjoy variety of mods cause I do. Its all about the flavor and how it taste to you. YMMV

Without detailed measurements, we are unsure as to why one device provides a better vape than another. But as I mentioned earlier, what is stated on the screen may not be what is being outputted – and this could be by some margin.

Below are 3 screen grabs from DJLsb of 3 different devices. The first displays a device that is unable to come remotely close to it’s prescribed wattage. The resistance is way off and it is applying the incorrect voltage. What a mess!!

The second displays a poor DC signal which I feel would be detectable. The signal is not only wavy, it also drops indicating a reduction in power.

The last displays a clean and consistent DC signal for reference.

Yep, that's it. It's the easiest way to compare actual voltage readings between mods. I suppose that not all mods are accurate in wattage displayed versus actual voltage delivered to the atty and it's the best way to tell which mods are delivering what they claim.

That one looks like it's made better than the one I've lost around the house. Mine was just a clear tube with 510 male/female thread caps on each end. Hit the fire button and read the voltage.
