It's anyone's guess at this point, but I do feel more hopeful about a good resolution to the deeming nightmare than I did before. We shall see.
Too big of a topic for here, but if you want to be informed, read both sides as I have. Here's a good start:
https://www.amazon.com/Politically-...+Guide+to+Global+Warming+and+Environmentalism
"For decades, environmentalism has been the Left's best excuse for increasing government control over our actions in ways both large and small. It's for Mother Earth! It's for the children! It's for the whales! But until now, the doomsday-scenario environmental scares they've trumped up haven't been large enough to justify the lifestyle restrictions they want to impose. With global warming, however, greenhouse gasbags can argue that auto emissions in Ohio threaten people in Paris, and that only "global governance" (Jacques Chirac's words) can tackle such problems."
I cannot resist this interruption in your debate. The title of this thread needs to be changed to:
Vaping Wars: A New Hope
I now return you to your regularly scheduled debate. Thank you.
I came to post that link and I agree that it would make a great CTA. It couldn't hurt any to give it a try. These anti-vape regulations the FDA has imposed are the very definition of what Trump claims to despise. For various reasons, most of which don't matter right now, I've been off of ECF for a good 6 months. Anyway, politics is one of the reasons, and this does pertain to this thread. Just came across link Tell Us Your Story that is, from what I understand, President-Elect Trump seeking information on how to make America great again. I'm not up for anyone just clicking that link. In fact do a google search on it beforehand.
But I share it here because I do think it would make for wonderful CTA. My hope, enough of us chime in with idea of Trump said during campaign that he'd roll back regulations. Would be great if one of those regulations were Final Rule. How that all plays out, I'm not sure, but gotta start somewhere, and this link, along with this president, gives me some reason to be optimistic.

I read this in the news yesterday. My eyes glazed over.Congress will pass a short term budget extension so Trump can participate designing a full budget next year.
On one hand, you have scientists relaying their findings to the public, with no political or ideological motivations whatsoever, and on the other you have people who are clearly politically and ideologically motivated to deny these findings.Much of the "science" on climate change is as junky as the "science" on ecigarettes. One hint of this is how both activists groups try to shut down any discussion or dissent on the topic where critical comments on web pages are scrubbed and only certain 'true believers' get to participate in seminars and discussion groups. And 'consensus is used most often rather than science. Consensus is the opposite of science.

Outside of the few scientists who propose alternative explanations, everyone else is as bone headed as flat earthers and evolution deniers. Their opinions are invalid and dangerous, they deserve to be shut out of the conversation, and they do not deserve to be heard. The same can't be said the other way around. Ignorant rhetoric is not worth as much as an educated and informed opinion.
Donald Trump espouses inane, ignorant rhetoric on this matter, not valid contrary opinion. I can't forgive him this potentially catastrophically dangerous viewpoint, just because his staff helps our cause as vapers, but it would be one minuscule silver lining I suppose.

I don't have time to address all this, but market forces can't solve all problems and to call anything that is not market driven, socialism is just plan ridiculous. There are many things that are being done to lower carbon emissions that are a win/win for everyone. More efficient cars, for example, not only produce fewer emissions, but save people money and help lower our need for oil. Renewable, non-polluting energy is getting cheaper all the time. These things help everyone. If people are allowed to use resources as they will, guided only by market forces, with no regulation, the future will not be very bright (see the "Tragedy of the Commons").
